Ambitious but slow action game that’s flawed in important gameplay elements, but it’s definitely not unplayable. The story follows Zerva, a member of the special unit of the Alliance. When she’s sent on a mission to a planet that became silent, she discovers something that might endanger everything that lives. Decent English voices appear only in cut scenes, with the remainder of the text is delivered in subtitles. Unfortunately, the translation is quite poor, with grammar mistakes in every other sentence. This is a clear sign text that was translated from the original language using software or by a less experienced translator. While cut scenes are overdramatic and lengthy, as is often the case in Asian games, troublesome sentences become even more obvious. Another issue is that the text appears quite slowly. Instead of pushing a button to speed things up, you can simply skip the current speech bubble. On the one hand, this lets you to skip everything and concentrate on gaming, but on the other, you have no idea what's going on. Outside of combat, you can run around the area, fight enemies, and fulfill quests. Aside from the primary goal, there are a couple of sub-missions that are optional but worth completing for additional experience points. The list of possible missions is constantly visible in your diary, and a handy compass at the top indicates the direction of each mission and quest-giver when you arrive within range. Saving is done at common floating crystals that do not waste your time. The game is linear, taking you through chapters. Each chapter consists of a series of smaller maps that do not offer any secrets. There is no mini-map so finding the correct path can be challenging at times. Some maps are open, but if you try to go somewhere you shouldn't, you'll be stopped by an invisible wall. It’s unfortunate teleport to different maps becomes available only when you beat a chapter. Also, it can only be done from specific spots. And the last important thing is that you can always come back to a planet even when you complete a chapter. Graphics are darn good for an indie game, especially in main characters. Although individual maps are tiny, they contain a lot of detail in the surrounding areas that make it look bigger than it actually is. That's something of a surprise because you only move through certain maps a few times. Details can easily compare with some of the more known games, but you'll also have need a strong hardware to run it. When you encounter an enemy, the game shifts into action mode. It normally happens when you get close enough, but you can also use dash to engage faster and go closer for a swift attack. Your major offensive powers are light and heavy attacks, while your primary defense is dodge. Although dodge drains stamina, it recharges quickly and should not prevent you from protecting yourself. Your other abilities are skills. These behave similarly to basic spells because they require mana to cast. You can switch between two types, each with four different spells. They may be great in a boss fight or against more difficult enemies, but regular enemies do not require them and can be easily ignored. Mana and health are not a problem; there are plants around that replenish both. Beating enemies earns you experience points, which can then be used to level up and get talent points. Points can be used to boost four key stats: health, damage, mana, and stamina. Their limit is level 50. There are no skill trees or perks to make the game more interesting or to allow you to customize your character. Everything is simple, and the only thing you unlock are a few new spells once you reach a certain level. The combat is passable, but not particularly thrilling. The major reason for this is that it feels slow, which I get because the focus is on hitting combos, but the most obvious flaw is a poor "lock on target" system. The first issue is that you cannot lock on a target outside of combat, even if you are only a few meters away from the enemy. Lock on is only used when you attack. But that leads us to the second issue: you have to push a button to lock the target. This means that if you don't "lock" the target, you'll have to fight both the camera and the enemy simultaneously. Playing without a lock is impossible because your attacks will frequently miss unless you push in the direction of the enemy's position. Another issue is that some enemies begin a combat by charging at you or interrupting your attack. If you don't dodge their first hit, you'll lose a few health points quickly. Outside of combat, you cannot dodge, so you are frequently hit because you cannot lock target. Unfortunately, even when activated, target lock does not always work properly because it can lose track of a target when it is behind you or switch to another. Boss battles are unbalanced. While basic enemies are a cake-walk, some bosses have soul-crushing difficulty and cheap hits. They repeatedly interrupt your strikes due to your slowness and attack you when you are down. They can also guard and have limitless stamina. The only way to defeat them is to buy mana potions and spam special attacks on them. Materials collected from enemies or extracted from the world are utilized to create new gear. Enemies respawn after a minute or two and can be grinded for materials. The same is true for extraction locations, which become available again when you switch maps. Forging can occur at the main base or near special crystals with a different hue than the save crystals. Certain resources are unavailable, so you must purchase them from the headquarters shop. New items become available as you move through the game, preventing you from purchasing the best items straight away. Money is not an issue because you always get it from enemies. There are five components, including the anklet and chest, each with five different pieces of equipment. Each component provides a unique increase to health, mana, and stamina, therefore none are useless. They also change your appearance. Strength is increased with a new weapon, which likewise comes in five types - including the one you start with. Unlike the gear, each successive one is stronger than the previous one. However, you may decide to stick with a specific weapon due to its unique passive perk. For example, one weapon has a chance to turn damage into health. The last weapon is the best; it combines all passive bonuses from previous weapons, but their effect is halved.
Gamenya bagus, ceritanya lumayan, gambar grafisnya memukau seperti game triple A dan fiturnya banyak untuk game hack and slash, tapi perlu perbaikan dari gramma bahasa inggrisnya masih broken english, serta performa FPSnya kurang bagus di mesin komputer spesifikasi rendah. Semoga sukses selalu, maju terus game Indonesia
The game isn't bad but it feels very unresponsive at times with the controls 7/10 cool combat
I genuinely enjoy this game a lot. It's an indie, third-person action RPG with cheesy dialogue and voice acting and excellent combat, and an attractive lead character. Are there problems? Yes, absolutely. There are some issues with the game. But the team of developers behind it are working to fix them and are consistently pushing out updates to improve the player experience. I want more games like this, not less, so personally, I'm happy I bought this.
In the beginning, the game is kinda boring to play in the early 30 mins, because i saw many content about this game everywhere, but at the end after i defeated the first boss (XBAR), it change my perception of this game. This game obviously has a story, along with different place, and different atmospheres from the previous place. And there, I look at Eldran grave which make me curious about what happen. Continuing to Alliance City, my mind tells me that this is a good game. I looked around until I arrived in the temple with a lot of skills unlocked. I followed the story countless times without realizing I finished the game with a climax. I really enjoy the game and it's satisfying. The Dev team can deliver the story with their way and the gameplay itself is enjoyable to play. This is a great indie! I don't care what people think of this game. It's all incredible and memorable. If you like JRPG with good graphic, exciting gameplay with easy story to follow, you should check this out. I hope there is a sequel from Fractals of Destiny, I'm gonna wait for it.
the first 3D action rpg style created by Indonesian Developer AFAIK. Great job tbh, love this game. need some improvements. I love the style. the game really feels like inside fiction world. i hope the developer create more game like this but in JRPG with turn base style battle style like in Original Final Fantasy VII. just finished the game https://youtu.be/mEktI7yCUFA
Only played for a very short amount of time, but I have things to say. Rarely do I review a game, so I apologize if it's crap. At the current moment, I don't recommend this game. First, an action RPG that can only use M&K is crap; this game needs controller support. Second, the graphics are decent, but that's the extent to the quality of the game. The voice acting and script is atrocious. Also, during the first 5 minutes of the game, you can soft-lock yourself, requiring exiting to the title screen and reloading the last autosave to proceed. To accomplish this, be a click-happy combat fiend like me and, after taking the side route and spotting an enemy, before getting close enough to target them, right-click to perform an heavy attack and spin the camera so that the camera is behind the enemy. Once this happens, you'll receive the prompt that tells you how to use skills. After it's completed, it will inform you to middle-click and press 1 to use your first skill, but since the camera is behind the enemy, you're no longer targeting the enemy and you can't rotate the camera with your mouse to re-target the monster as it's locked you in place until you middle click. After these few things, I just can't recommend this game. Wait until it's on sale if you want to try it.
