About
FOUNDRY is a first-person (first-robot?) factory builder with complete creative freedom set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.

Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.

Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build.
Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.

Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production.
You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.

Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.
Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines.
Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

Needs more content. After 150 hours you will probably find it hard to continue with nothing meaningful left to do, it's a decent amount of play time but eventually you unlock everything and just import the base items from the market which makes everything monotonous but even if you didn't do that and produced everything for yourself it's tedious and not worth your time doing. Currently the market domination galaxy map has no purpose as to just make the numbers go up and scale everything. It's a waste of time. The game iteself is good up until you realize there isn't anything meaningful to do. Need time to figured out some goals. The galaxy map could be the key to make the game more interesting but in its current form is lackluster.
Tried it and immediately hooked.

Procgen at its worst - new biomes are the same as every other biome, just reskinned. Nothing thrilling, dangerous, or useful hidden around the next corner. Environmental hazards seem to be nonexistent or minimal, didn't even take fall damage. No predators near unique finds.....no unique finds (perhaps there is something like this deeper into the game?). Why even bother with 3D without a compelling environment to explore? It's empty and soulless. QoL currently lacking. Belt laying is a chore, can't change perspective, no run toggle. The controls aren't as awful as Oddsparks, but there is lots of room for improvement. Accessing machine panels is very annoying because of the big loaders. They just need to rethink their build system imo. I may pick this up if they do a massive overhaul because I love this genre, but it does not feel compelling as is. The economy thing does seem mildly interesting.
Did you enjoy Satisfactory? Did you stop playing it once you finished the Space Elevator, and maybe wished it offered more objectives besides the 'main quest'? If so, you will love this game. It's basically Satisfactory with less focus on the world/exploration & more focus on the actual factory (ie. somewhere between Satisfactory & Factorio) - but with SO MUCH TO DO! With how widely your quest for market dominance can spread across the galactic map, it feels like you could play this game forever...
Jogo muito bom, na mesma vibe de satisfactory, Factorio e afins. O visual é bonito, a jogatina é divertida, vale muito a pena!
Factorio + Minecraft. If you like either or both of those games, especially if you like Minecraft tech mods or redstone, you'll have a blast playing this game. UI is slightly janky but completely usable, and once I got muscle memory down, was just as fast as anything else in the genre. Controller support isn't great but is still playable, and on Steam Deck rebinding the controls for your own preferences can make it completely playable. Actually the most fun I've had with an automation game, and I've pretty much played them all. There's something about making logistics grid-based that's more compelling to me than the freeform placement of Satisfactory. This game encourages very large builds that have real purpose, so if you wished Minecraft megabuilds had a reason to exist, this game nears perfection. A few things this game does uniquely better than others in the genre: - You can save multiplayer games as a local save, so another player can continue and host their own version later. (and you can host any save as multiplayer) - There's a research-enabled built-in flying construction mode that makes building multi-level structures much easier. - The world is infinite and randomly generated (unlike Satisfactory), with multiple types of starting planets. - There are no external threats, for people who like to take their time without pressure. - You get automation running almost immediately.
Didn't get past the tutorial, art style , voice overs, awful UI, tutorial itself wasn't great with gaps that left you having to self search for the next step, the voxel based world made it feel cheap and like a kids game as well, just didn't grab me at all, but the annoying vocals and general in game noise was the biggest factor that just made me uninstall, and given it was free and in a genre I love this is really dissapointing.
I don't know how to stop playing, help.
im sorry the concept is cool it just feels like a worse satisfactory and honestly just feels just super boring (yes ik you hear that a lot but its simply true) the visuals do not stand out at all and the game play is so simple honestly i cannot recommend this game to anyone i bought it in search of a satisfactory like game but honestly i would much rather just buy satisfactory then play this (its not slop just not my cup of tea)
