About
Dinosaurs are here to eat you—feed them some lead!
In this thrilling first-person horror shooter, you will play Jack Allen, as he investigates the mysterious Alaskan Sierra Research Facility, now flooded with water, which has been overrun by deadly dinosaurs. You will have to put your skills to the test as you embark on a heart-pumping, 12-hour journey through flooded tunnels, puzzle-filled bunkers, and dark corners filled with jump scares. The base has a dynamic sandbox layout where players can revisit areas, get upgrades to their weapons, and clear sections to create safe zones by draining water in the flooded sections.
Use a massive arsenal of deadly weapons to bring the pain! Blast dinos apart in glorious gory detail all powered by Unreal Engine 5.
Much of the game takes place in flooded hallways and rooms. You will have to put on scuba gear and face off against monsters of the deep.
Fossilfuel 2 is filled with many puzzles to keep you on your feet. Explore the vast nonlinear base of the flooded Sierra Research Facility and face off against not only Dinosaurs but the environment as well.
Fossilfuel 2 is the highly-anticipated sequel to the indie game Fossilfuel, and it promises to deliver an experience like no other. With improved Unreal Engine 5 graphics, advanced AI, and a range of new weapons, you will have to use all your ingenuity and skill to survive in this Dino-infested facility.
The Sierra Research Facility in Alaska was once a beacon of cutting-edge research and development, but the dinosaurs in the base escaped, and the base has been cut off from the mainland. Much of the base has been flooded with seawater. Jack Allen is part of an expedition sent out to investigate the Sierra disaster. But when their boat gets attacked by a Megalodon, the crew becomes shipwrecked on the shores of Sierra and must find a way to escape.
As a member of this team, you will delve into the dark secrets of the facility and uncover the truth behind the Dino outbreak. With a gripping narrative and heart-pumping action, Fossilfuel 2 will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. The game has a heavy focus on underwater horror and has a massive cast of dinosaurs including Utahraptor and Spinosaurus.
With a wide range of weapons and challenging AI, each encounter with the Dinosaurs will be unique. In Fossilfuel 2, no two playthroughs are the same. The game features multiple endings and player choices that change the course of the game. And with 12 hours of intense horror action, you will want to come back and play again and again to experience all the thrills this game has to offer. Get ready for a pulse-pounding adventure and uncover the truth at the Sierra Research Facility.
A Garrys mod-like sandbox can be unlocked for players to brandish their creativity. Spawn NPCs and watch them fight, or make a house with the block spawner, the possibilities are endless.

THIS IS WORTH IT 100%
This is an impressive effort for a solo dev! Difficulty was a bit finicky... pretty easy for the most part, but there are moments when it's very frustratingly hard, and if you have the wrong weapon on you, it's EXTREMELY hard. I had fun with it and definitely had a few scares. Vibes were perfect, a great retro-ish dino horror shooter. Thank you to the dev for making it, I had such a fun time :)
So good, its genuinely scary sometimes.
Short but sweet.
There is a specific ladder in a dead end room in the last level that, whenever you climb to the top, will eject you backward from it. You won't take any damage, but you will never be able to get up the ladder where you want to go. This makes you need to repeat the last 30 minutes of the game. Considering this game is only around 2-3 hours that's pretty annoying. The game is not worth replaying that section to finish he mission. Story is weird. Your boss say he knew you would betray him when there was never any indication that there was suspicion. Menu buttons are incorrectly assigned (R1 and R2 are swapped or some reason). On controller the map can zoom out but not in. Menu won't use the D-pad so you may do what I did and accidentally change your language to chinese and won't be able to change it back for a bit. Then when you change it back the menu stays in chinese while the subtitles are in english. The spirit is there. It's nice to have an actual dino horror game, we all know the big names are too scared to properly do it. Unfortunately this one isn't polished enough to not walk away frustrated.
I wouldn't pay $15 for this, needs more work, but cool concept. Hard for me. FPS was all over the place. Controller felt wonky to me. Also when going through the settings menu with a control I couldn't just use the bottom keypad for up/down/left/right/ movement. Since I had to use the left keypad, I was facing issues with scrolling and it changing values. Really annoying.
Got as far as the Dung Beetle Boss, I had nowhere near enough ammo and the last save (which are limited to 3xusb sticks you find in game) I made was at least half an hour ago, through some tricky areas, and remembered I didn't even like these gameplay mechanics when they were new in the 90s! Still, it's a fun, simple Dino Crisis fps that made me jump more than once. The dinosaurs are cool (and scary), but most of the environments are a bit bare bones. The dim flashlight probably does a lot to hide many box shaped rooms. Though the game does look surprisingly good through some clever lighting, I thought it ran poorly for what was on display. And the controller interface is quite clunky. it performs OK on the steam deck.
Love this game for its scary style and dinosaurs but boy can it be really Funny by accident really enjoyed it streamed 1 & 2 recently and going to stream ff3 demo looking Forward to it Keep making Dino shooters
