Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fort Boyard, developed by Appeal Studio and published by Microids, is a party game adaptation of the iconic French TV game show of the same name. The game captures the essence of the show by offering a variety of mini-games and challenges that emphasize physical prowess, mental agility, and teamwork. Released in 2019, it aims to bring the fun and competitive spirit of the television program to players looking for a casual multiplayer experience, either locally or online. While it is primarily designed as a social game to be enjoyed with friends or family, it also offers single-player options for those who prefer to tackle the challenges alone. The core gameplay revolves around completing a series of mini-games, each inspired by the original show’s famous tests. Players select from a handful of characters, each with unique animations and personalities, and compete in different challenges that range from dexterity and timing to puzzle-solving. The ultimate goal is to collect enough Boyard coins throughout these mini-games, which are then used to unlock the final treasure room and win the game. This structure mirrors the tension and excitement of the TV show, where contestants must earn their way through physical and mental trials. The mini-games themselves are varied, offering different mechanics and pacing, which helps maintain player interest through the course of a match. Visually, Fort Boyard embraces a stylized, cartoon-like art style that balances charm and accessibility. The fort itself is faithfully recreated with recognizable landmarks and rooms that fans of the show will appreciate. The character designs lean towards the playful and exaggerated, emphasizing the party game vibe rather than aiming for realism. While the graphics don’t push technical boundaries, the environments and animations are polished enough to create an engaging atmosphere that supports the gameplay without distraction. The visual presentation helps convey a lighthearted tone that complements the competitive but friendly nature of the mini-games. The audio complements the visual design well, featuring a soundtrack that matches the energetic and sometimes suspenseful tone of the challenges. Sound effects are crisp and effective, providing clear feedback during gameplay which is vital in fast-paced mini-games that require precise timing. The voice acting, available in both French and English, adds personality and immersion to the experience, even if it occasionally leans towards cliché. Overall, the audio design works to keep players engaged and enhances the nostalgic feel of the Fort Boyard universe. However, the game is not without its flaws. Despite the broad appeal of the concept, Fort Boyard has been met with mixed reviews from players. One common criticism is the repetitive nature of some mini-games, which can reduce long-term engagement. Once players have completed the initial rounds and experienced all the challenges, the novelty can wear off, leading to limited replay value. Additionally, while local multiplayer is well supported and often praised for its social aspect, the online multiplayer component is less robust, which may disappoint those hoping for more extensive competitive or cooperative play over the internet. The AI opponents in single-player modes have also been described as inconsistent, sometimes making the experience less satisfying for solo players. Another point to consider is the game's pacing and overall depth. Fort Boyard is designed primarily as a light party game rather than a deep or strategic title. As such, players seeking complex gameplay or substantial progression systems may find it lacking. The mini-games tend to be short and straightforward, emphasizing fun over difficulty or innovation. This makes it ideal for casual gaming sessions but perhaps less suited for those wanting a more challenging or involved experience. In conclusion, Fort Boyard delivers a faithful and charming adaptation of the classic game show, bringing its unique challenges and spirit into the realm of video games. It shines most brightly as a local multiplayer party game, offering a variety of enjoyable mini-games that capture the essence of the original program. While it has limitations in replayability, online functionality, and depth, it still holds value for fans of the show and those looking for a casual, competitive experience with friends. For anyone familiar with Fort Boyard or searching for a lighthearted party game, it is worth exploring, but expectations should be tempered by its focus on simplicity and social play rather than expansive content or complexity. I remember watching this French game show in the 90's and it's pretty cool to be able to play the challenges as a computer game. The graphics are great and the challenges are nice to play a few times. It takes around 3 hours to get all achievements. Don't buy this game at full price. It would be foolish. Wait for the £1 sale.
I've only played through one adventure so far though I was quite a fan of the TV series. It's not that bad a game in my mind and I won't comment on the price of the game as I don't know how much these things cost to create. I got mine when it was on offer & it was certainly worth the price for a bit of lighthearted fun, graphics are decent for what they are and game play not to shabby either. If you are a fan of the TV show and able to acquire on a sale, then buy it, but don't expect TV show quality, it's quite "cartoon'y" in it's playing style with very limited speech...it hits the nostalgia spot for sure.

As a Fort Boyard enthusianst it's a shame to see this game. I tried multiple times but it just bad as it looks. Refunded.
This is so good. I am tired of seeing cash grab games of other popular media that I didn't expect this much quality of something from 90's.
Nice game but control options are not great. Perhaps a 2.0 version?
