About
Forgotten but Unbroken offers a unique perspective on the WWII turn-based strategy genre. Inspired by real stories and events, the game introduces fresh mechanics never before seen in the genre. Players will experience defense missions, historical characters, and unique "micro" features based on reality. From the special abilities granted by wearables to the absence of magical healing, "Forgotten but Unbroken" provides a realistic and immersive gameplay experience.
Elite enemy units, such as the feared SS troops, are designed to spread fear among players, affecting their aiming and overall performance.
Additionally, the game allows players to forge strong relationships with allies, who may send elite soldiers to assist in battle for a limited time, adding a strategic layer to gameplay.
Forgotten but Unbroken delivers a deep and complex gameplay experience by intertwining historical events with personal narratives. Players will encounter a newspaper feature that reports on real events from WWII, such as the Battle of Kursk or the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich. These global events are presented alongside the personal story of the main character, Commander Martin, whose life is profoundly impacted by the events of the war. This dual narrative approach not only provides players with a rich historical context but also immerses them in the emotional journey of the main character.
The game features real characters of WWII, carefully & respectfully selected for their legacies. Players have the opportunity to meet and interact with these protagonists for a limited time during the game, adding a layer of authenticity and reverence to the gameplay experience.
The game features six classes of soldiers, each with unique abilities and perks. Players can customize their soldiers and manage their traits, which affect their performance in battle. Traits such as "Iron Will" can significantly impact a soldier's morale, while physical traits like "Sickly" can affect their disease susceptibility.
Base management is a crucial aspect, allowing players to heal, train, and maintain the morale of their troops. Structures such as hospitals and armories can be built to improve various aspects of the base and troops. Additionally, players must consider factors such as weather and disease, which can impact the effectiveness of their base and troops.
Forgotten but Unbroken is set primarily in central Europe, with a focus on Czechoslovakia. This region's strategic importance during WWII makes it an ideal setting for the game, as players will navigate the complex political and military landscape of the era.
Forgotten but Unbroken incorporates a diplomacy and politics system that allows players to impress allies through successful missions, thereby increasing support. Relations with allies can impact the type and level of support they provide, adding a strategic element to player decisions.

Good job. Every battle feels intense, challenging missions, and strategic depth that rewards careful planning. The attention to detail in units and environments makes each encounter immersive, offering both tension and satisfaction for strategy fans. The game’s difficulty really pushes you to think several steps ahead, but I like the challenge so its my cup of coffee.
I guess it's bad game, but i love genre, so a reccomend it. It seems like you either playing missions stealth or you dead. That's way all defense missions much harder than others, especially when you don't have machine gun or map is really wide for it. And stealth itself has very clumsy realisation it this game. Base management is a joke, after first winter there no challenge at all (i played on hard difficulty). P.s. like for jensen voice, don't know how you get him in this game
I love history and WWII setting. This game has good immersion and atmosphere. Visualy it works character models work base works. Under the hood though it fails. It is as if they insisted not to make a X-Com clone and everything they did to make sure they are not another X-Com is what frustrates me. I am not sure what is a spoiler and what is not so I will just say two perks that break the game, Lucky bastard and Backstabber. First one is too powerfull second one does not work how one would expect... it should not be possible to trigger by someone a character is aware off... There are more examples that frustrate me in game but these made the cut for a review. There are no major bugs just some minor annoyances. I am half way into the war (1943) and not sure I will be able to will myself into completing it. I really wanted to like this :(
skvela hra 🙂

seen Nookrium playing it on stream and had to have it
A teď k těm záporům.
It's mediocre at best. I really, really tried to give this game a fair shake and have some fun, but this game fights that at every turn. It doesn't have a great story - what story exists is delivered in campy cutscenes spread throughout the game, and I couldn't tell you what the plot was because it was so poorly told. It doesn't have great gameplay - the class system is largely unbalanced by one class (snipers), and with how grindy the game can be you really need the overpowered class to get past the tedium. Devs don't seem to be interested at all in constructive feedback, so no hope there either. (not surprising for 2 years since release) There is a weapon familiarity system that is supposed to improve the effectiveness of a weapon you use often, but it increases very slowly, and if you start using a new weapon you lose familiarity with other weapons. Hope you like using one weapon the whole game, because by the time you get some new interesting toys you are out of luck - you'll have to grind weapon familiarity up, and suffer without it in the mean time. This wouldn't be as big of a deal if weapon familiarity wasn't so bonkers - high stats can cut weapon AP cost to fire in *half*, so its almost mandatory to keep using the same weapon. The strategic layer is tedious filler, the combat system devolves to rocket tag, the "elite enemy hero" nonsense is more annoying than enjoyable. The game does have fantastic set pieces (backgrounds, maps, etc), but since you spend so much time on the strategy layer and little in the combat maps, you don't really get to enjoy them. I really, really wish this game was better, but it isn't. If it had an extensive mod scene or something you could fix glaring issues, but no dice. Hard pass, buy it on steep discount if at all.
Takticky dobra vojnova strategia v partizanskom rozsahu boja a v slovencine :)
