About
If you’ve played traditional football managers, you’re probably familiar with the following feelings:
Complex attributes: Footballers have many attributes, and you don’t always understand which ones truly affect the match outcome. Often, the only strategy becomes buying high-level players instead of finding a footballer whose unique attribute perfectly suits your tactics.
Unclear results: You never really know why you win or lose. This forces players to search for "winning" formations on forums instead of analysing the opponent and consciously selecting footballers capable of exploiting their weaknesses.
Financial complexity: Club funds quickly disappear, and it’s hard to understand how to manage finances and strategically plan expenditures.
Football, Tactics & Glory is a game about full control and a complete understanding of what’s happening on the pitch and in the club:
Transparency of attributes: You always know exactly how each footballer’s attribute impacts the encounters, allowing you to customise formations for each opponent, defeating even stronger teams with the right player selection and tactical approach. This also makes transfers much more interesting and exciting.
Control over tactics: Feel like a real coach, making smart tactical decisions, not just changing formations hoping for luck.
Control over luck: Luck plays a big role, as in real football. But you can minimise its impact by understanding your players’ abilities and building the team around your playstyle.
Strategic financial planning: The game’s economy is designed so that you always feel in control of your finances. The game demonstrates the importance of strategies like "developing" footballers for sale and finding promising talents who will become your future stars.
No micromanagement: This is a game about strategic planning, not micromanagement. Instead of wasting time on increasing an attribute by 0.01%, you make decisions that significantly affect the club’s fate. Therefore, the game lacks the boring elements of football managers: endless spreadsheets, routine tasks, and unimportant mechanics.
Great variety: FTG is so deep that even after hundreds of hours, you’ll continue discovering new and interesting things. The game world develops uniquely each time, creating new challenges and exciting emergent stories. This makes each campaign different from the last one.
The game values your time: You can complete one football season in a few real hours instead of days, as in other football managers. At the same time, each season is packed with events and interesting decisions.
Comprehensive tutorial: The game explains all elements in detail. And if you still have questions, the active community will answer them on the forum or Discord.
Good turn-based mechanics allow complex systems to be simplified, while retaining their essence and emotions. For example, XCOM perfectly conveys the feel of firefights with aliens, and Civilization — the development of a civilisation.
Our turn-based system uses key football concepts to make match outcomes and your tactical decisions clear and transparent. Once you understand how these mechanics work, you’ll feel the emotions inherent in real football.
Additionally, the ability to take your time with each move allows for comfortable gameplay. Especially if you’re over 40 and don’t have the reaction speed you once had.
Yes, it’s a serious football manager that’s easy to start playing due to its apparent simplicity, but hard to stop because of the depth of its features.
Take your club to the top: Start in the lower league and lead your club to the heights of world football. Or choose any club in the Premier League or another league of your choice.
Create your own leagues and clubs: With the built-in editor, you can create real clubs and leagues.
Use modifications: Take advantage of numerous mods created by the player community.
Dynamic game world: Other clubs buy and sell players, train them, and develop youth — the game world lives and evolves with you.
Promotion and relegation system: Each country has a Premier League and several lower leagues. Teams are promoted or relegated between leagues depending on their final position. Top teams from different countries participate in continental tournaments similar to the Champions League and Europa League.
Club development: Improve infrastructure, hire coaches, and develop your Youth Academy.
Unique players: A powerful face generation system makes each footballer unique. The face editor is also available for you.
Online matches: Play a friendly match with a friend online.
Co-op play: Create a tournament and play a season with friends on one computer (or online via Remote Play Together). Up to 32 people can participate in the tournament.
Twitch integration: Viewers can interact with the game via chat.

Don't let the 250+ hours fool you, I have almost as many on the Switch port. It's such a nerdy game and i love it. It confuses all my friends who wonder "what the heck kinda game did he put this many hours into?" but here i am anxiously awaiting the next iteration (2025) because the strategy + depth of career + uniqueness + challenge + balance is really unmatched in Football (Soccer) Management Sims. The devs remain active in the community and are always friendly and engaging. If you like management games, buy this one, it holds up.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The forcing me to do all of these "tests" to force the user tutorial info is horrible. Trying to guess whatever the devs want me to do step by step is extremely tedious and exhausting and takes the fun out of the game. Some of these tests are twice as long as the games themselves because I have to continuously guess what the dev wants me to do step by step, over and over again until I get it right, and it's start over from the beginning every time. Way to smack your users on the hand....well done.
Played On Steam Deck
Playing "Football, Tactics, and Glory" was a refreshing change from typical football management games. As someone who loves both strategy, sports and sim management, I found the game’s mix of tactics and football quite engaging. The turn-based matches allowed me to think through each move, making every game feel like a chess match on the pitch. The game’s visuals are clean and vibrant, making it easy to follow the action. The player development and transfer system kept me invested in building my team, and the RPG elements added depth to managing my squad. What really stood out was how accessible it is. I didn't need to dive into complex menus or spend hours learning the mechanics. It’s a game that’s easy to pick up but has enough depth to keep me coming back. Like "Civ 5," each match feels like a well-thought-out strategy session. Every move on the pitch requires careful planning and foresight, much like maneuvering units on a Civ map. The turn-based nature of the game allows for a thoughtful approach, making each game feel like a tactical masterpiece. The depth of tactics reminds me of "Persona 3," where the turn-based combat requires careful planning and use of each character’s unique abilities. In FTG, this translates to setting up your team’s formation and utilizing player skills to outmaneuver opponents on the pitch. The clean, vibrant visuals and straightforward gameplay make it accessible and enjoyable, perfect for both quick sessions and extended play. If you enjoy strategy games and football, FTG is a must-play. It combines the best elements of strategic planning and tactical depth in a football-themed package, making it a standout in its genre. Regarding DLC, I played ~15hr before purchasing both DLC and I feel they are both excellent improvements upon the base gameplay. Recommend buying them but certainly not required to get an incredible experience from FTG I’d rate it a solid 10/10 for its unique blend of strategy and engaging gameplay. Also buy to support game developer from Ukraine!
I was expecting a football management sim, but what I got felt more like a chess-inspired strategy game. That just wasn’t my thing, so I ended up simulating every single match. It’s now the year 2056 in my save. None of my players have bionic limbs. Is that realistic? I’ll let you be the judge. I still managed to squeeze a few hours of oddly satisfying fun out of it. But. I had to look at Lothar Matthäus’ face way too often. So maybe don't buy.
>be me >straight, so I like autistic excel football sim >take spanish worst club in Amateur League (Algeciras) and promote it through blood and sweat and tears to Premier League >it takes frigging years (well, several weeks in real life time) >forget to put points in reputation trying to maxx money and glory >sacked by the mother****ing president because don't have enough reputation to convince him not to >10/10 would mourinho it again
As you can see, I have hundreds of hours on this game, and I've been playing it for many years. I've always been a huge fan of games that blend turn based strategy with a side of the game dedicated towards managing staff, money, facilities etc (games like xcom, if you know them). Even if you don't like football, it doesn't really matter: if you want to play a game with lots of content where your strategy matters more than anything else, this game will surely satisfy you. yes, luck is a factor in this game, but your strategy is always the most important thing, and you can also beat opponents who are much stronger than you (I personally managed to do it many times), and if luck is a factor that bothers you so much, you can also change a setting so that it favors more the player rather than the CPU. Playing good on the field is a key factor to win (you will need to create a formation that counters your rival, defend well, make the right passes, the right shots, but also use your footballers abilities like rainbow feint or long pass), but managing your team is also crucial to keep improving: you can upgrade the youth academy to gain more skilled young footballers, upgrade your coaches so that your players gain more exp, and many other facilities that will come in handy in the long term. Your facilities are important, but what matters the most are your players of course: you have no idea how satisfying it is to see a young eighteen year old player becoming stronger and stronger. here the progression works extremely well, and you will notice very easily how your footballers get stronger as they level up and learn new skills. Of course training young guys is not the only way to have good players: you can buy and sell players just like real life, and see which deal is the best one to improve your team. So what are you waiting for? If this description of the game seems interesting to you, I suggest you to try it right away. The DLCs are also very good, as they expand the gameplay more than you can imagine: their price is also not too high, and there are not many of them. We are also waiting for a new one that is coming out on may, and as huge fan of this game, I couldn't be more excited (national teams finally!). I also admire the developers: not only they care about making the best experience possible, but they also work very hard even tough their country is at war (they live in Ukraine, so you can imagine...). Now it's better if I stop... i wrote way too much ahahahah.
Recensione di "Football Tactics & Glory" *Punteggio: 85/100* *Gameplay:* "Football Tactics & Glory" si distingue per il suo gameplay unico che combina elementi di strategia a turni con la gestione calcistica. Ogni partita è suddivisa in turni, dove i giocatori possono eseguire azioni come passaggi, tiri e dribbling, oppure difendere con pressing e scivolate. La profondità strategica è notevole, con attributi dei giocatori che influenzano l'esito delle azioni. Tuttavia, alcune meccaniche, come i calci d'angolo, possono risultare penalizzanti. English version Review of "Football Tactics & Glory" *Score: 85/100* *Gameplay:* "Football Tactics & Glory" stands out for its unique gameplay that combines turn-based strategy with football management. Each match is divided into turns, where players can perform actions like passing, shooting, and dribbling, or defend with pressing and tackles. The strategic depth is remarkable, with player attributes influencing the outcome of actions. However, some mechanics, like corner kicks, can be challenging. *Graphics:* The graphics of "Football Tactics & Glory" feature a cartoonish style with pastel colors that make the game visually pleasing. While not cutting-edge, the design is functional and suits the game's tone. *Lore:* The game doesn't have a traditional storyline but offers a career mode where players can build and manage their own team, taking it from lower leagues to the top of the football world. The lack of a story mode might make the game repetitive for some. *Sound Impact:* The music and sound effects are well-crafted and help create an engaging atmosphere. The musical tracks are catchy and fit well with the game's pace. *Longevity:* Thanks to the career mode and mod support, "Football Tactics & Glory" offers significant longevity. The active community and continuous support from the developers add further value to the game. *Final Thoughts:* "Football Tactics & Glory" successfully combines turn-based strategy with football management. Despite some minor imperfections, the game provides a fun and engaging experience, ideal for fans of both football and strategy. *Curiosity:* Did you know the game was developed by Creoteam, a small indie studio from Kyiv? Despite the team's small size, they managed to create a high-quality product that has won many fans. *Something Fun:* During a match, if a player fails several actions in a row, they will trigger "sports rage," temporarily boosting their attributes. This can lead to hilarious situations where an apparently mediocre player suddenly becomes a champion. In conclusion, "Football Tactics & Glory" deserves a solid 85/100 for its innovative combination of strategy and football, offering hours of fun and challenge.
it's like x-com, but instead of fighting for the future of human civilization against an alien enemy that far outclasses you, you're fighting for the fate of your soccer team against league opponents who way outclass you. The tutorials are good, the tactics are interesting, and the combat has a good mix of beginner accessible and depth. Not a soccer person, still like the game
I realised I never wrote a review for this game, despite thinking about it multiple times... Oops. Football, Tactics & Glory is a game I would really recommend to anyone who like tactical games, even if they aren't really fond of football. This is because at its core it is a very finely crafted game, with core mechanics that are extremely solid. While some of the most obvious aspects are simple and easy to understand, once you dig a bit the game shows its depth, and it's not easy to piece things up immediately. Thankfully the game has a very handy tutorial that will cover a lot of the mechanics. Although in some case, it may take a bit of time to really understand what the tutorial is trying to teach you. Still, while you may stumble a bit at first, once things start to click, which doesn't take that long, playing the matches and managing to outplay stronger opponents via a judicious use of your players and their skills is extremely satisfying. The management aspect is also present, and while it is overall simplified(You are nowhere near what Football Manager will ask of you in terms of crazy spreadsheet simulator, which is a good thing), it still demands you to juggle with contracts, facility expansions and upgrades and the transfer market. You will need to have both short term and long term visions to really succeed. In essence, it's a game that tickles both your tactical and managerial brain in very positive ways, and to me that hits all the marks. It's also notable that you are expected to meet losses at some point. There are opponents you simply won't be able to beat, and others you will lose to because of certain formations they use or because the dice rolls won't be favorable. This is fine. There is always the next match, the next season, and as long as your club stays in the green, you will always end up stronger, until you can finally defeat your rivals. The progression, while sometimes slow, is gradual. The only flaws I would note is that the game may be a little too stingy when it comes to giving you prestige, used to purchase upgrades and use a lot of coach "powers" so to speak. In addition to that the fact the cost is incremental for upgrades no matter what you pick means that it's ill-advised to upgrade the medical facilities due to their impact on the long game being a lot less valuable. Because of that too, footballer injuries can be absolutely crippling if playing with your own player-made club. Meanwhile any club you may join starts with upgrades in it already paid for as well as others. I really wish something was made to make the medical facilities more appealing on the meta game to justify the cost of its upgrades. It's especially gruelling when you have to pay some crazy costs for said upgrade(in normal or hard difficulties) while the AI teams already have the upgrades themselves since day 1. Catching up to the Premier League champions in terms of infrastructure and player quality can take over 12 to 20 sucessful seasons. This can lead to a feeling of grind when trying to bridge the gap, which is a bit unfortunate. Still those are some minor aspects compared to the overall product which is extremely pleasant to play. I also want to point out that the devs have a lot of dedication to their game. The lead dev in particular, interracts with the community a lot, and doesn't hesitate one second to dirty his hands as soon as possible to fix any reported bug, especially the game breaking ones. He's also ready to defend and explain his design choice, all while also being open to constructive criticism and ready to amend and change things for the benefit of the game and overall player enjoyment. This is rare in the industry, and deserves a lot of praise by itself. I don't mind sometimes disagreeing with someone if that person can explain his reasonning and approach, and is ready to accept when changes need to be made. And I don't mind being wrong myself either :p . So really if you like tactical games, management games, or even football, or multiple of those, give it a try. Share it with your friends. This game certainly deserves to get more exposure.
