I want to love Flyout because the game itself is an incredible simulator, but people buying this need to know what they are walking into with the official community spaces. Right now the official Discord and Reddit are being run with an unbelievable double standard. Recently leaked screenshots showed the main Community Manager, HotDog, acting completely unhinged and toxic in DMs while handling moderation. He was caught throwing out explicit personal insults at players, calling people "ungrateful little ♥♥♥♥♥" and "dramatic little bastards", and he even dropped a straight up ableist slur. This is a massive, undeniable violation of the servers own day one rules against slurs and harassment. Instead of addressing it properly, the moderation team has been actively covering it up. When players tried to post the evidence on the official subreddit, the mods immediately deleted the threads claiming they violated "civility" or "privacy" rules. It’s a joke that regular users get censored for being "uncivil" just for pointing out the truth, while the head Community Manager gets a total pass after slinging slurs at the player base. A tiny half assed announcement apology doesn't fix this. Rules have to apply to the staff, not just the regular members. By silencing anyone who brings forward actual proof, management is just driving a massive wedge between the developers, the modders, and the players. Buy the game if you want to build planes, but stay far away from the official spaces. It’s a heavily censored environment run by power tripping staff who don't even follow their own guidelines. Until the devs actually step up and enforce real accountability, I cannot recommend supporting this community.
