Came here from BeamNG.drive. While I have never played the campaign, this game is still an easy recommendation for me. I don’t just use the game as a sandbox to build engines and cars for BeamNG; I find myself spending hours recreating real-life engines and trying to make them as accurate as possible. This game does a great job of pushing your creativity and encouraging you to do your own research to understand how engines actually work. Sometimes the gameplay loop can get a bit repetitive, but the constant updates and the sudden itch to build a new engine always pull me back in. As someone who is very fond of cars and mechanics in general, I can confidently say that the mathematical physics engine calculating the performance results is highly accurate to real life.
Room for Improvement
One area I would love to see improved is the use of real technical specifications in engine tweaking rather than arbitrary sliders. For example:

Ignition Timing: Instead of a 0-100 slider for retarded/advanced timing, it would be great to tweak the actual piston/crank angle.
Exhaust & Intake: Applying this same logic to header and intake tuning with real-world measurements.
Fuel Mixture: Displaying real Air/Fuel Ratios (AFR) instead of a 0-100 number for a rich/lean mixture.
All of these would greatly improve the technical depth of the game, although I acknowledge it might make things a bit harder for inexperienced players. Additionally, there are some inaccuracies regarding turbo boost pressure and a lack of modern turbine mechanisms (like anti-surge tech) for small turbos. Generally, newer engine technology is a bit lacking—which I understand is likely very hard to code. I am still holding out hope for diesel engines in the future, though! That’s all, folks.
After making an engine so big it doesnt fit in a bus and then driving it around in BeamNG i have to say automation is quite a game
Это лучшее что было создано человечеством вместо того чтоб тратить дни на разроботку модов на бимку 20 минут и машина сделана
Lacking real goals on it's own and the campaign isn't super enticing, but the devs are adding a lot pretty regularly. You better have Beam.NG Drive with this game. The two as a pair are inseparable IMO. Build the cars in Automation, export to Beam and drive them around. One gives a purpose to the other and vice versa.
so this game was hard to put down for review. im settling on negative. now let me be clear: it is a fun way to build a basic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but the game is fundamentally a 3d editor for beamng. it tries to be more, clearly, but it doesnt hit the mark for anything else. it has great shell editing, but internal editing is broken, your car can sometimes freak out, and while setting up your engine and car design can be fun, what it fundamentally is, is "make number on engine not mean boom, somehow know what size engine bay you have through magic, tack on random junk until you like the look, run it in 2d track, then export to beamng" because thats all there is to my knowledge there is no way to make a custom shell, the year system is cooked, and it just feels...dated if you really like making your own designs this is your game if you like engineering this aint it if you want to hear an engine sing this is your game if you want to hear it sing while driving the car this aint it
cool design and engineering game, has a bit of a learning curve but is tons of fun once you learn (personally use it mostly to build vehichles to export to beamng.drive
Ah yes, here we are. 5 hours of mashing buttons and sliders until you build something that does not follow Newtons laws, Just to find out there is not a single f*cking frame that fits your 12L V12. After you spend 2 more years designing your own frame you can finally start building the car, But whats that? Ah yes 7 diffrent warning ranging from your frame crumbling like a sand castle to your suspension turning you into a f*cking bouncy castle. After another year you finnaly build something that resembles a vehicle and you can export to Beamng. Then Finnaly you can test your machine just to discover it generates more lift than a small aircraft and that there is not enough coolant in the world to cool this monster. 9/10, Quite entertaining.
jogo maravilhoso, entrega tudo e mais um pouco, ponto negativo: muito caro
very fun game! you get to make your own cars, and test them out in beam ng!
