About

Goal
get to the top of the pinball machine.
Controls
Left button for the left flipper, right for the right. Pull the plunger (that metal thing that launches the ball from the start). That’s it.
Expecting more from a pinball machine?
Easy to learn, hard to master
Maintain the ball’s momentum and time your flipper hits just right. Use the environment to your advantage and discover your own shortcuts.
(Warning: Sometimes a clever idea can backfire.)
Varied levels, each with its own personality.
Every new stage brings fresh challenges—ride the wind, hit buttons, travel through gravity tunnels, smash meteors, and conquer arenas!
(Before making any rash decisions, remember: the beginning is always a place you can return to.)
The machine clearly shows its age-chipped paint reveals once-hidden screws, and loose wires occasionally peek through.
Still, none of that takes away from the handcrafted charm and craftsmanship FlippTech once poured into their machines.

checkpoints are a little mean, you can technically fall all the way to the bottom, but like, you wont. it will waste your time though a bit because of having to play some parts over and over. physics are weird cause they arent pinball, it's vertical
It's Jump King x Pinball! The music and aesthetics are great! The actual pinball part gets irritating because it always feels like you're fighting against the physics and ball weight. Launching the ball to get to the next flipper is a mix of skill and luck, leaning more towards luck if I'm being honest. It seems like you only have 2-3 frames to launch the ball at the exact angle you need. It feels too punishing when I don't even feel in control of the ball because of it. It gets to a point where it stops being fun when I fall down 10 platforms because the ball didn't launch the way I was expecting it to. It seems the developer intends you to make each jump done from a complete stand still, which breaks the flow of the game and slows it down a lot. A pinball platformer sounds awesome on paper, but fighting the physics make this feel too punishing for what I was expecting. If you like tough platformers, I can recommend this game. For anyone else, I would heavily heavily recommend playing the demo first. It likely isn't going to be what you expect this to be. I really wanted to like this game, but it just turned out it wasn't for me after all, which is a shame because there's some great stuff here.
You gonna hate yourself more than the game
A wonderfully worthy entry in the Foddian genre - a brutal climb with a unique mechanical spin and absolutely stellar visuals. Congrats to the dev team!
There are reviews in the comments of the demo saying this game is hard, which makes sense... The game is supposed to be hard, but it is not impossible. "I do not like this game because it is too hard" Oh boohoo don't post a review disliking it because you do not know how to play hard games, it's not rocket surgery. Give the demo a try and learn how the flippers work, after that buy this game because it is fun. 10/10 will keep playing.
This game is a gem, highly recommend checking it out! The pinball mechanics are a great fit for the "Getting Over It" format and the aesthetics really bring the whole thing together. I'm new to pinball games so can't speak to other's gripes about the feel of the physics compared to other examples of the genre. I found the physics to be challenging to learn but also consistent and fair. It was very satisfying to improve over the course of my 10 hour run to the top. If you're pinball curious, definitely give this one a try!
an amazingly stylized game with absolutely gorgeous pixel art and an aesthetic that really scratches an ultra-specific itch in me. the subtle lore/art details all over the place really just seal the deal as this being one of my favorite games recently. and all of it is human-made! no ai slop like most steam games are nowadays. you can tell this is a passion project and i love it. i really love this game and i wish it had more players - it deserves them!
like the Wii controller, where we only needed to move our wrist, but we ended up swinging our whole arm about in frustration. Let’s make this clear from the outset, as it can be confusing: this is a platform game, not a pinball game, so – to put it this way – the ball ‘has to jump’. In fact, there are brief moments where a pinball machine is introduced, and you can clearly see the lightness achieved. That said, it’s less intense than Jump King, as it’s more compartmentalized, and it captures the feel of pinball nicely, especially during the jumps where we need to use the ball’s momentum to send it further. I think it’s a brilliant idea, and whilst I’m not sure if I’ll be able to progress, the fact that it’s less demanding means we can let the ball rest and try again another day. I’ll update the review if I manage to make it all the way to the end. Edit: I’ve done it! But I had to master the ball just like Maradona did with that orange.
Really enjoyed this! Loved how unique each of the areas were in terms of aesthetics and mechanics. Game was challenging without being too frustrating, and it didn't overstay its welcome. Great stuff!
