Damn, clearing the true ending took some time. The game varies in difficulty between trivially easy and ridiculously unfair. Room filled with enemies that can't shoot and just wait to die - very easy. Room filled with double-shielded green enemies with the double damage bane and you've run out of items, and there's spiked floors and homing rockets and electro-balls - there goes all your health. The RNG can really screw you over sometimes. This game isn't taking the sonic or mario route of leading you through a bunch of levels with different designs - you're getting the same rooms a bunch of times - making this more of an arcade experience that tests your control. I was a little surprised when the global stats showed so few beat the final boss, but, then again, just to fight the final boss requires beating 9 ships, completing the 3 cursed ships, and running the gauntlet of the previous 3 bosses. Its a bit much for the casual player.

C'est dynamique, fluide, rapide, la musique déboîte, que demander de plus ? C'est rare donc j'en profite mais le trailer donne vraiment un très bon aperçu du jeu. Si le trailer vous donne envie, alors foncez, c'est très probablement exactement le jeu que vous imaginez. Exigeant, stylé, grisant, Flinthook c'est trop trop bien !!!

It's a great game. It has a lot of personality and charm, tough as nails with a high skill ceiling. It's items aren't super deep though, so don't expect Isaac or Skul level of builds here, it's mostly stats, conditional stats and resources. Hope we get a Flinthook 2.

ちょっとテンポわるいかも あとフックで高速移動できるのにエリアが狭いのでコンセプトとゲームデザインがマッチしてない 2DであればSANABI（あと一応テラリア？）、3Dであればスパイダーマンやジャストコーズなど フック要素のあるゲームはいずれもフックの勢いで広いマップを高速で駆け抜ける爽快感があるが 本作はボス戦を除いて画面に映っている範囲を飛び回るだけなのでどうしても窮屈に感じてしまう
