"Pogo Rogue" is a simple game with a simple premise, basically you shoot downwards and the recoil pushes you upwards, hence the "Pogo" part of the name. The "Rogue" part of the name comes from developer laziness which we'll get into, but it's not the only element of laziness here. At least while this is simple and not a lot of effort looks to have gone in, at least it's a genuine game and not some asset flip or something. Basically the idea is to bounce to the top of each procedurally generated level, but there's hazards that will hurt you and things to shoot, so there's a little going on, but not that much given the very simple premise... remember, we're on PC here, for PC games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3... this is on the same platform and while it's cheaper, it's not better or even close. We're just looking for "The Best" of games. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded despite the bad graphics, not because of them. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

it is very fun but defintly isn"t easy i feel like this is so good it shoud have a price tag so if you have gamer skills play it (8/10)

bouncy ball <3
Great game, good controls great graphics, variety and on top of that is free. only problem i had is it won´t open in my other pc for some reason, but maybe is the pc problem
i am really glad i found out about this game ! A mix between movement based plateforming and rogue like seems like a tough game design challenge but its really well done ! The quality of the game would totally deserve a pice tag so the fact that its free make it a must play for anybody enjoying movement based game . if you get used to the controls , you can finish a run pretty quickly . The game is still mechanicly hard so i guess it will depend a lot from ppl to ppl tho .
Great Gane, AMazing bosses
