This was so very, very bad. Basically the ENTIRE backstory, motivations, characters, and mystery have been changed, and Sherlock now has magic powers that he uses to defeat the hound and the house itself. I still enjoyed it, from a bewildered standpoint, but I can't say it's a good adaptation. The puzzles were (mostly) good, and there was a working map, so I'll recommend this weird game.

as a mystery and HOB fan, i found this game quite fun, i finished it in 1 sitting! it was a nice escape from reality for a while, old school HOB games really are the best.

(Ватсон записывает со слов Холмса) Элементарно, Ватсон. В восемь лет я штурмовал загадки в одиночку-увы, хватало лишь на поиск предметов. Ныне, повзрослев, я прошёл всё, не сделав поблажки. Кроме одного: чёртов пазл на двери в обсерваторию. Он сломал меня в детстве. Он сломал меня и сейчас. Всё прочее-дедукция. Это-идиотизм.

STOP and ready this Now! THIS is exactly what a Big Fish, 5BN, Elephant, Artifex Mudavi game should be! It was beyond excellent. There was a story, the power-ups you earned had functions, every single item made perfect sense, no obscure puzzles, there weren't too many HOPs, you always knew what to do next, no backtracking, very long game with lots of locations, characters to guide you with just the right amount of dialog. Every other developer should be required to play this game to improve all the usual pitfalls. AMAZING 10 Stars!!!

A fun point and click mystery, took me 7.4 hours to 100%.

Every few games Frogwares decides to pivot into a hidden object game for some reason. It doesn't feel very 'Sherlock Holmes' but, if you know what you're expecting, it's a good time. The puzzles are generally interesting, and the plot is enjoyable, if a bit silly. Some of the powers that you unlock feel kind of goofy, but they aren't used so much as to become annoying. The in-game achievement display got me, and I played through the game again to get the remaining achievements.
