Really good game, nostalgic for all of us that enjoyed old RPGMaker horror games like IB and The Witch’s House. 100% recommended.
If lore/narrative driven horror games are your type of game, you will definitely be interested in playing this. The game is a good length and has many secrets and little optional details to uncover. Actions in the game can lead to a number of different endings which adds to replay value. Characters feel very fleshed out, and the world draws you in almost immediately. Puzzles range from simple to very difficult but nothing feels broken or impossible. Soundtrack is incredibly atmospheric and extremely fitting for the vibe of this universe. A lot of love and care clearly went into crafting this game. An extremely wonderful addition to the world of indie gaming.
This was a really good experience. I'm glad I gave this game a try. Love it overall. It's a shame the game seems to have received so little attention. The atmosphere, sound design, and artstyle are all fantastic. I also enjoyed the story concept and characters a lot. It's a really neat little setting that places the protagonist in a dystopian world of cannibals, but it also goes out of it's way to explain why the world is the way it is, and also still let's the 'monstrous' people of the world be actual characters, some with regrets and emotions beyond just the urge for meat. Expect a bit of rpg maker jank in some of the game, like enemys that can get really fast, with the expectation that you solve some sort of puzzle before getting killed. There is nothing too hard in the game, but expect a bit of trial and error.
Inside of you, there are two wolves. You ate them. You are a wolf. You are a cannibal. (serious review pending - will make it when i actually finish lol)
An RPG Maker horror with an original feeling which is, honestly, pretty rare. The gritty setting is well-explored with visual storytelling, the puzzles are interesting and non-generic, and the save points are forgiving which means the difficulty isn't frustrating. The art has a fun gross feeling to it, and again all feels original and distinctive. If you like these types of games, I'd recommend this one as a great, underrated example! If you're not used to RPG horror, this is as good a place to start as any, but make sure to save and prepare to be chased.
I don't know nor remember what happened to my review, but my thoughts on the game are still overwhelming positive because holy, this game is absolutely amazing!! I've played through the game before and am currently replaying it because the replayability of Fleshport is extremely high! It's so nostalgic being about to return to this game, to go through the story again, to see all my favourite characters and hear my favourite OSTs again! The story and characters are both very beautifully written, the antagonists especially! The characters can fill you with a mix of terror and awe, but also heartache for those with a more tragic story to them. I very highly recommend giving Fleshport a try if you're into survival-like horror games, love horror games that get your heart racing and or want to read and witness a beautifully dark story unfold!
Cute horror game, with rich and detailed story, plenty of secrets to discover and charismatic characters. Really worth it.
I have never played a game with an atmosphere quite like this one. Puzzles range from trivial to tricky, with one driving me barking mad (you'll know it when you see it). Stock up on food for a secret at the end.
For an RPG Maker game is has some very creative story elements. 10/10 would play again :-DD
one of my fave rpgmaker games. love the worldbuilding, the cast, the themes and the horror
