FoxMania: The Quest To Review All Fox Games On Steam!
Conditions for inclusion:

-The player character must be consistently a fox; the fox must not be merely a skin or a character option
-Must have 100% working Steam achievements
-Must not be a visual novel
Game #45: Chill Fox It's a fox with sunglasses and an attitude... or as much of an attitude as it's allowed to have with only about 3 voice lines, total. This is a short, stupid joke game that thinks it's funny. OK, maybe it got one or two chuckles out of me. It has a grand total of about 4 funny cutscenes/animations, and has some ridiculous scenarios like a fox riding an elephant, or getting chased by the Payday mafia guys. It gives the impression that it wants to capture the goofy chaos of Goat Simulator, but doesn't even come close. There's not very much gameplay here. There are two levels only, and one was only released as a Halloween bonus. You can see everything the game has to offer in under an hour. The actual game is a collect-a-thon platformer where you can run around a large map and find hidden collectibles, and a large animal to ride, both of which have an achievement for finding them. You can pick up and throw rocks at enemies to stun them, or trample them with a mount. You can double-jump to get secrets on top of roofs and stuff, but the game never explicitly tells you this. When you're ready to beat the level, you have to return to the chicken pen and eat a hundred chickens (or 200 in the second level) while a dog is scripted to chase you every once in a while. If you get caught by the dog, you get thrown back to the start of the map and lose a few chickens. The chickens are scripted to only appear in a few spots on the map, and spawn-camping them is super boring. It's baffling why they didn't scatter the chickens all around the map, and only left them in one or two localized areas. The second level has a weird unfinished area that flashes "COMING SOON" on the screen, then lets you run into a vast, empty liminal space with a mountain and forest. Pretty weird they left that in. It looks like the achievements are prone to glitching. Apparently if you skip the intro cutscene, you miss the achievement for watching it and there's no way to reset your save file to see it again. And in my file, my collectables on level 1 got frozen at 5/10, so that achievement looks broken for me as well. Do I have anything positive to say? Yes, in fact. The controls were very smooth and passable, especially in comparison to other fox games I've played. The fox snaps to the target when attacking, so hunting chickens felt easy, despite the fact you have to do it a hundred times. The maps themselves look decent and well-designed, collectibles were hidden in satisfying places. And it had some good humor while it lasted. For a game that's obviously just a bunch of store-bought animal assets thrown into some sandbox maps, it had some potential. It just feels a bit disappointing for being too short, and it feels a bit deceptive that there is hardly any comedic content that isn't already in the trailer. If there were at least 6 more levels (and many more funny animations, gags, and voice lines) then it might be worth your attention. 2.5 / 10.

Chill Fox is one of those games that makes you wonder, “Why am I actually this relaxed right now?” You play as a fox wearing shades — clearly the coolest animal in the forest — just vibing, exploring, and enjoying the simple life. No enemies, no stress, no weird timers. Just pure chill. The graphics are simple but charming, the music is peaceful, and the whole vibe feels like a digital nap you didn’t know you needed. It’s not trying to be anything it’s not — and that’s part of its magic. And let’s be real: for just a few bucks, this game delivers more peace than a spa day and costs less than a coffee. ☕🦊 If you’re into cozy exploration games or you just need to unwind after dealing with real life, Chill Fox is 100% worth it. Divertido e curto, mas curto aqui é uma coisa boa já que o gameplay é repetitivo e eu não acho que aguentaria mais outra hora disso. Vale o seu preço atual.
I wanted to like this game, but I just can't really bring myself to do so... on a surface level Chill Fox sounded like a promising experience with lots of fun. After completing the first level though, it got really soulless and empty to me. Sure, I was not promised anything outside chicken hunting, especially for this price so I really can't complain, but I just found the gameplay get stale and really boring quite fast. I guess this type of game is so different from what I'm used to, it's hard not to try and grind those chickens to just get to the next level and see what else is there. May be fun for someone who's willing to just sip some drink, chat with friends and not pay too much attention to the game itself.
Honestly, when I first started playing, it felt just okay. The mission is simply to hunt chickens and golden eggs. But the game got really fun when I realized I could throw stones at the guard dogs (and the goats!). Sometimes, I was more focused on knocking them out with rocks than on the actual chickens. But the part I never expected... WHY IS THERE SUDDENLY AN ELEPHANT IN THE MIDDLE OF A HOUSE?? 😭 I was genuinely SHOCKED. It's weird, it's funny, and it's surprising. A unique indie game. Recommended for anyone who likes bizarre humor.
It is absolutely better than Netflix and Chill. Chill out yo
Its cheaper than my breakfast good game that can be improved further. Collecting 200 chicken seems too much.
I think, this game is relaxing from busy work
I was just bored and looking for a chill game to play, and I stumbled upon this one. Turns out it’s actually really fun and adorable! Plus, it’s super affordable — totally worth it! 💸🎮
