About
Flaregate Network is a roguelike deckbuilder with RTS-inspired spaceship combat.

Gameplay alternates between two phases.
Play Phase: The battle pauses so you can play cards.
Take as much time as you need to find the perfect strategy!
Battle Phase: Fleets clash in real time!
No input is required, so sit back and watch the explosions!

Story Campaign: Play through an epic space opera.
Standard (Roguelike) Campaign: Infinite replayability! Use the tools you find to fight your way through a gauntlet of randomized missions.
If your flagship is destroyed, the campaign is lost!

Choose your cards wisely to build the most powerful deck you can!

Will you build a well-rounded fleet, ready for any situation?
Or will you double down on a single strategy with an epic payoff?

Learn the damage type system to counter the enemy fleet.
Explosive damage takes out big ships fast!
Laser damage goes through all defenses, even shields!

Humanity: The invention of the flaregate led to three generations of war, as governments fought to control humanity's expansion into new star systems. The Solar Empire emerged from this dark time as a shining beacon of order and innovation.
Unannounced 2nd and 3rd Factions: Spread across the galaxy as they are, humanity has encountered many forms of life... but none with the spark of intelligence. That will soon change.

This game has really good bones. i had been waiting for this since the moment i saw that the maker of Keystone was working on a full game. Overall good stuff in here. The standard campaign is great with just some oddities in the draw rate on some things. NOW. the issue. the story campaign will make you want to tear your hair out. most of it works great, however you will run into missions, bunches of them, where you just have to keep restarting the mission until you get the perfect hand because half your cards are useless and the AI is going to come at you hard and fast.
Fun game. Most of the time when I lose I feel it is due to a missplay. Could use some QOL features, like something to stop the tutorial messages from reappearing.
Played through the campaign and 3 level of roguelike as of 15/062026, had a great time! I liked the story. The campaign is great, the roguelike feels even better as it feels more "flexible" in terms of strategy with the upgrade, as well as more punishing as you can retry each mission like in the. You get experience fighting the different ships in the campaign, which is key to a good roguelike run. Eager to try cards from the other faction when they come out :) As for QoL, even when the game is at 3x, I would keep the animation that shows discarted card when you hand is full at the same speed as normal. as it goes so fast you can't see it. (My playtime doesn't match as I played offline a lot, I think I have around 6 more hours that aren't showed here.)
building your deck up as you progress is very satisfying
Tax the colonies!!
Played the creators SC2 Mod and the Demo for this game. This is great :)
Very cool gate and a passion project of the developer? Why that matters, is that earning it not a priority, I believe more content will come, and I hope it will be available without a need to buy a DLC. Overall, compared to other Roguelikes the price is steep, if I was not confident in the developer, I would probably wait until it is like 5-7 EUR to purchase, but since I am confident in the dev, I do not feel bad spending the full amount. Either way, like roguelike - deck builders? Get it. Like cool story campaign? Get it Like to build your own strategies and customise your decks? Probably get it, tho it is currently not as expanded as I would like. Overall like Roguelikes? Probably wait until it is cheaper Like games with great animations and graphics? That is a skip for you
Interisting take on autobattler. Worth to try if interested in genre.
Leaving positive review with no real review rn cause the games' good enough to deserve it. Will update once I get through the story proper.
