Fisherman Simulator is a laid-back open-world fishing experience developed and published by RFT that centers on exploration, steady progression, and the quiet satisfaction of building a modest fishing enterprise from the ground up. Rather than chasing hyper-realistic simulation or competitive multiplayer mechanics, the game focuses on accessibility and freedom. Players begin with basic equipment and a small boat, gradually expanding their capabilities as they explore an island-studded archipelago filled with varied fishing spots, hidden treasures, and economic opportunities. The core gameplay loop revolves around traveling between islands, casting lines, setting traps, and selling your catch for profit. Fishing itself is designed to be approachable, offering a balance between active engagement and passive systems. Players can manually fish using rods for a more hands-on experience, or deploy traps that continue working while they explore other parts of the map. This dual system creates a flexible pacing structure. Those who prefer active gameplay can focus on timing and positioning, while players seeking a more relaxed session can lean into passive resource gathering and gradual accumulation of income. Exploration plays a central role in the overall experience. The archipelago setting encourages players to venture farther from their starting location in search of richer fishing zones and rarer species. Each island offers slightly different environments and opportunities, providing visual and mechanical variety. Sailing between these destinations fosters a sense of journey, and the open-water navigation contributes to the game’s calm, meditative atmosphere. Discoverable items and occasional hidden elements add small moments of surprise that break up the routine of fishing and trading. Progression is closely tied to upgrading both equipment and vessels. Early in the game, limited storage space and modest boat durability constrain how far you can travel and how much you can haul back. As earnings increase, players can invest in sturdier boats, expanded cargo capacity, and improved fishing tools. These upgrades are meaningful, not only making expeditions more efficient but also unlocking access to deeper waters and more lucrative catches. The steady improvement of your boat transforms it from a simple dinghy into a capable fishing vessel, reinforcing the sense of growth over time. Economically, Fisherman Simulator keeps things straightforward. Fish are sold at designated locations to generate income, which then feeds directly back into upgrades. The simplicity of this system keeps the focus on exploration and resource gathering rather than complex market fluctuations or business management mechanics. While this approach may limit strategic depth for players seeking detailed economic simulations, it aligns well with the game’s relaxed tone. The satisfaction comes from incremental expansion rather than mastering intricate financial systems. Visually, the game adopts a modest presentation that prioritizes clarity and functionality. The islands and waters are designed to be readable and inviting, without overwhelming players with excessive detail. Boats and equipment are easy to distinguish, and the interface is structured to minimize confusion. The overall aesthetic supports the tranquil mood of the game. Audio design complements this with subtle ambient sounds and understated music that reinforce the feeling of being alone on open water. Pacing is one of Fisherman Simulator’s defining qualities. There is no time pressure pushing players to optimize every moment. Fishing trips can be as long or as short as desired, and progression unfolds at a comfortable rhythm. This design makes the game particularly suitable for players who enjoy low-stress simulation titles that can be picked up for brief sessions or longer stretches without feeling demanding. The absence of high-stakes mechanics keeps the focus squarely on enjoyment and gradual improvement. While the game’s accessible design is a strength, it also defines its limitations. Players expecting highly detailed fish behavior, advanced environmental systems, or competitive multiplayer depth may find the mechanics comparatively simple. However, for those seeking a gentle, exploration-driven fishing experience with steady upgrade paths and open-world freedom, the simplicity is part of the appeal. The game succeeds in delivering a cohesive loop that is easy to understand and consistently rewarding. Ultimately, Fisherman Simulator offers a calm and focused take on the fishing simulation genre. Its blend of active and passive fishing mechanics, boat progression, and island exploration creates a relaxing cycle of travel, catch, sell, and upgrade. While it may not aim for technical complexity or hyper-realism, it delivers a satisfying sense of progression within its open waters. For players drawn to peaceful simulation experiences that emphasize steady growth and quiet exploration, Fisherman Simulator provides a welcoming and enjoyable voyage across its archipelago world. its a fluffy game u can spend some free time onit
Very chill and relaxing game

not much here yet. janky. achievemnets not working
Edit : The game just got its first major update, and I must say it plays way better ! All the gripes I had with the game are gone mostly. There is still room for improvement but the devs are willing to improve the game and that's a big advantage for me ! In its current state, the game is fine but very unbalanced / boring : - The wave effect in the water makes it really hard to aim for the fishes with the spear - It would be better if you automatically grabbed back the spear AND the fish and getting the spear back - It would be nice to have a small basket to start with, having to do back and forth between the harbor and the seller is tedious - The profit per fish is awful. A lot of fishes sell 1 coin, which is the price of a bait. In the end, half of the time you won't make any profit, which makes it really hard and slow to progress in the beginning. Apart from that, the game looks pretty and runs well, and it feels it can be a nice little game, so I won't refund and I'll wait for it to get updated some more
kinda fun but alot is confusing even just trying to fish with a pole oh hit e i hit it sometimes works some times dont took 2 hours to figure out how to get the engine now cant figure out how to unload the big boat says be near pole what pole try to do it manually like old boat fish glitching basket falls threw ship actually sunk my ship trying to pick up a fish
