About
Feed the Greed is a short, minimalistic incremental game about tiny skeleton villagers sacrificing creatures to satiate their greed for essence.
Can be finished in one sitting
Takes about an hour to a few of hours to finish depending on your choices, strategy and playstyle
Intended to be played actively
Two endings

Assign villagers to different buildings, generating offerings to be sacrificed to a mysterious space rift.

As your villagers lead the offerings to the space rift, it rewards them with essence. Providing enough offerings causes the space rift to grow, granting a pure essence.

Use pure essence to build different buildings, which will produce better offerings, accumulating more essence faster.

Use essence and pure essence to improve your offerings - like higher essence yield or unique effects. Some upgrades allow offerings to interact with each other, creating unique effects.

Feed the Greed is a short idle/incremental game that leans pretty heavily into the active side of things. As far as they go, this one is unremarkable in every way, and it falls short on all metrics important to these kinds of games. There are definitely worse things to spend 3 bucks on, but I find it difficult to think of a single other game in the genre that you wouldn't play over this. The total time to complete the game is about 1 hour, with another 2 or 3 hours to get a few grindy achievements. This is extremely short, even by the standards of the genre. Unfortunately this game lacks any redeeming qualities to make up for this short length. The actual gameplay itself is close to as basic as you can get, its not COMPLETELY brainless, but strategy is quite limited. There are a few different options to choose from, but there is a fairly clear "best path" to follow which makes the options feel a bit superficial. As for the graphics and music, all I can really say is that they aren't anything particularly special, again being a bit on the basic side even for the genre. This is definitely a much more subjective thing, and i'm sure that there are others who will enjoy the style more than I did. A significant number of people who play these games like to debate the value of the game considering its price, and while I generally disagree with judging games based off of that, I think that this game is perhaps the best justification for that mindset. If you think of these kinds of games like eating potato chips, then this one is like eating stale potato chips, there might still be some enjoyment in it, but you would still rather be eating fresh potato chips over this.
Kind of like someone saw Gnorp and said "I can do that" but didn't really get it. You've seen everything the game has in like ten minutes.
Idle & Incremental lovers doesn't recommend Feed the Greed : The dark pixel art aesthetic looks good, but the gameplay really lacks complexity. Prestige is bad, ending is meh… The game is promising at first, but falls flat very quickly. #NotACultGame Hope this review is helpful! Only one hour to complete the game, left on my appetite. Can't recommend this game in its current state, not fun enough to bother. Maybe if it had meta progression or something, but no, the incremental progress is slow with not much to do (goes without saying if the game is only one hour long). Feels very lazy on the part of the devs, they should know this type of game carries some expectations, but it's like they just didn't bother. Cool game otherwise. Side note: The game crashed when I tried to close it after completion, which ironically prompted me to leave a negative review that I probably wouldn't have bothered with otherwise.
This game was fun to play, I would have liked a tutorial because it doesn't clearly give you the ability to start the game.
short but good, a bit like Gnorp
Sadly the game gets a thumb down. Active playtime is very short. One of the achievements require that you finish it within 5 minutes. So you can imagine that it can be finishes really fast. I wanted to have it a long time, summersale made me buy it. And it seems I did want to have it without any reason... This is life! :D 5 different buildings, one more if you want the "good ending". No difficulties or anything to motivate.
Solid incremental game, although very short. About an hour of gameplay, possibly 2 hour if you hunt down all the achievements. Cute graphics, Very hard to read on Steam Deck
Feed the Greed — Trop court pour convaincre

Passez votre chemin.
Short but nice
