This is a port of an already existing Roblox game under the same name Pros Couple new lines of dialogue Some new cat models New maze area and some levels have slightly different layouts Meow volume slider You now automatically collect cats if you're near them There is full controller support Cons Mouse look is terribly implemented. There is an absurd amount of mouse acceleration and high sensitivity even on the lowest setting The only graphics option is to disable grass The game is stuck in borderless full screen meaning it uses your monitors native resolution There is no asset culling the entire game is loaded at once meaning even on my beefy gaming pc it ran at 40 fps in some segments. I can not imagine how this would run on low end hardware. Playing on steam deck which runs at 720P the game would go down to 17-23 fps There are less cats in some areas compared to the original game Developer commentary is missing When swimming it feels very jank you can only move forward and have to rely on the camera controls You move slower than the original? I feel like multiplayer was a big part of the original game. Overall it controls worse than the original, is missing content, is shorter, and costs $5. I'm happy to support CattyApps I love their games but I could never recommend this to anyone.
definitely a game where you find the cats. you won't want to miss this one!
I like how the cats are found doing different activities throughout the world - they are not just sitting around. Some cats are easy to find but there's enough of a challenge to find them all, making it quite fun. Mostly aimed at kids - simple controls and easy to understand, so a great way to let them have fun. The Linux port works fine too, which is always nice to have.
I found the cats but I couldn't find my feet. Where are my feet? Please help Mr or Mrs Cats.
this is roblox game.and i got it because the roblox version kept crashing.this one don't crash:)
7/10 хорошенький поиск котиков!
Find the Cats is a relaxing hidden object adventure that transforms an incredibly simple idea into a surprisingly charming and comforting experience. Developed by Bemmu and published by CattyApps, the game revolves entirely around exploring colorful 3D environments while searching for hidden cats scattered throughout each level. On paper, the premise sounds almost absurdly basic, but the game succeeds because it fully embraces simplicity, accessibility, and playful exploration without trying to become more complicated than necessary. Instead of relying on difficulty, fast-paced mechanics, or dramatic storytelling, Find the Cats focuses entirely on creating a peaceful scavenger hunt designed to feel enjoyable for players of all ages. The setup is intentionally lighthearted. A mysterious Cat Lady has lost her cats, and players must travel through different environments to locate them one by one. There are no major plot twists, emotional conflicts, or complicated objectives driving the adventure forward. The game understands that its appeal comes from the satisfaction of exploration and discovery rather than narrative complexity. This straightforward approach immediately makes the experience approachable because players know exactly what they are meant to do from the very beginning. The game never overwhelms players with systems or mechanics and instead encourages calm observation and curiosity. One of the strongest aspects of Find the Cats is its atmosphere. The game constantly feels warm, cheerful, and relaxing. Bright colors, playful environments, and soft presentation create a comforting mood that makes exploration enjoyable even when little is happening mechanically. There are no enemies, timers, or failure conditions creating stress or pressure. Players are free to wander through environments at their own pace while searching carefully for hidden cats. This slower pacing gives the game an almost therapeutic quality, especially for players looking to relax after more demanding or competitive games. The hidden object gameplay itself works surprisingly well because of the game’s fully explorable 3D environments. Unlike many traditional hidden object games that rely on static illustrated scenes, Find the Cats allows players to move freely through each area and inspect locations from different angles. This adds a greater sense of immersion because discovering cats often depends on carefully examining rooftops, corners, trees, tunnels, and environmental details that may not be visible immediately. Some cats hide in obvious locations, while others are cleverly tucked away in places that reward thorough exploration and patience. The environments themselves help maintain variety throughout the experience. Different maps introduce new visual themes and layouts, ensuring that exploration never feels completely repetitive despite the simplicity of the core gameplay loop. Some areas are open and colorful, while others contain more layered spaces and hidden pathways that encourage deeper searching. The process of gradually clearing each map and finding every cat creates a satisfying sense of completion that keeps the gameplay loop engaging longer than expected. Another major strength is the game’s accessibility. Find the Cats is clearly designed to be approachable for children, casual players, and even people with very little gaming experience. The controls are intentionally simple and familiar, taking inspiration from movement systems commonly seen in games like Minecraft and Roblox. Younger players can quickly understand how to navigate the environments without struggling with complicated mechanics. The inclusion of professional voice narration also helps make the game more accessible to children who may not be comfortable reading large amounts of text. The game’s origins as a popular Roblox experience are easy to recognize in both its design philosophy and presentation style. Before releasing on Steam, Find the Cats had already attracted millions of players online, particularly among younger audiences. The Steam version preserves that same casual and family-friendly structure while rebuilding the experience into a standalone game. The transition works well because the core idea is simple enough to remain enjoyable regardless of platform. The game never feels like it is trying to imitate large-scale adventure titles and instead fully embraces its identity as a relaxing scavenger hunt. Visually, the game uses a colorful and minimalist art style that perfectly suits its tone. The environments are not graphically advanced, but they are clean, readable, and inviting. The bright visual design helps make every environment feel welcoming rather than overwhelming. The cats themselves are expressive and charming, making every successful discovery feel rewarding despite the simplicity of the objective. The visual clarity is especially important because the game depends entirely on careful observation and environmental awareness. The sound design complements the relaxing atmosphere effectively. Gentle background music and soft ambient sounds help create a calm environment during exploration. The soundtrack never becomes intrusive or overly dramatic because the game prioritizes comfort over intensity. Voice acting also adds personality to the adventure and strengthens the child-friendly tone. Altogether, the audio design supports the game’s peaceful pacing without distracting from the core gameplay loop. One of the most admirable things about Find the Cats is how confidently it commits to its audience. The game never tries to force artificial complexity or dramatic mechanics into the experience. It understands exactly what it wants to be: a relaxing hidden object game centered around exploration and adorable cats. That sincerity gives the game a certain charm that makes it easy to appreciate even for players outside its target demographic. However, the same simplicity that makes the game accessible also limits its long-term depth. Players looking for challenging puzzles, deep mechanics, or narrative progression may quickly exhaust what the game has to offer. The gameplay loop changes very little throughout the experience, meaning enjoyment depends almost entirely on whether players find the process of searching for cats inherently satisfying. Some players may also wish for more environmental interaction or gameplay variety beyond exploration alone. The indie production scale is also noticeable in certain areas. Environmental detail remains relatively basic, animations are minimal, and overall gameplay complexity is intentionally lightweight. Compared to larger hidden object adventures or exploration games, Find the Cats feels much smaller in scope. Yet these limitations also contribute to its approachable and relaxing identity. The game avoids unnecessary distractions and remains focused entirely on its core scavenger hunt concept. What ultimately makes Find the Cats enjoyable is the purity of its design. The game strips away nearly every complicated element and focuses entirely on the simple joy of exploring colorful worlds while discovering hidden cats. That focused simplicity creates an experience that feels surprisingly comforting and relaxing, especially for players who appreciate slower-paced casual games. For players looking for a peaceful hidden object adventure filled with cute visuals, stress-free exploration, and family-friendly gameplay, Find the Cats delivers a charming and accessible experience. It may not provide deep mechanics or long-term complexity, but its warm atmosphere and satisfying scavenger hunt structure make it an easy game to enjoy in short relaxing sessions. Rating: 6/10
1 hour for going 100% also with backtracking from end to start to get the missing cats ... so i feel the game is very easy and with not much content ... but i did expect that so no wonder in the end I played with controller and mouse for camera movements because didnt work on gamepad at all (full controller support should have been delivered) game is not bad but not worth 5 cash actually , wait for a sale or look for a key the idea and the game is ok , would love to see something more complex and better looking in the future thumbs up because I'm a cat dad myself (IG @raythebengalcat)
It's a cute little unity made game. despite looking like a random asset flip it isn't. The world is made in a logical fashion between where the cats are found and come from, so it's ok a item finding game.
