About
A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.
Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.

A solid entry into Square-Enix trying to figure out how to keep the IP fresh. Solid performances and the Eidolon fights are amazing to watch. No the most challenging or intriguing storyline so far, but I'm definitely going to finish it.
Game doesn't run the best but after beating it this has become one of my favorite final fantasies
TL;DR - 6/10, worth it on sale. I came into this game with little information beyond Square Enix (SE) shifting fully towards an action RPG format. I've played every mainstream FF game (sans 11) and very much enjoy the turn based style of JRPGs however I felt that FF XVI was a breath of fresh air to the franchise as it carried on the tradition of what I felt a FF game ought to be - similar lore elements with a unique game play mechanic. Gameplay is easy to learn and get addictive when everything clicks, the ability to mix and match abilities allowed you to build Clive however you wanted and provided endless variety. SE was wise enough to add equipment for those of us (myself included) with dwindling reflexes which slow down time for dodging or outright auto dodge. Music good, rather epic in some scenes. Was worried about the lack of traditional open world but each area you go to does branch out nicely and if anything, it eliminates much of the pointless A to B that I feel buffers game time. Most of the side quests added to the narrative in some way and were worthwhile undertaking and I really enjoyed the monster hunting missions as they offered a unique challenge. Characters really shine, they add to the narrative and you end up invested with many of them though SE should really find a better way to implement them in battles should they use this formula going forward. Most of the time your team mates are there and will throw a spell or two out, I never had a situation where this helped my progress (though it also did not hinder anything). The exception would be the inclusion of a certain animal companion which integrated well into the battle system. Primary voice acting is great, I played in English - Ben Starr has a bright future in the industry; NPCs can be hit or miss. If I stopped here the game would've been an 8/10 but the story was where I felt let down. Sadly, it wasn't the overall narrative, which was great accompanied by the excellent voice acting. It was the ending that let me down.
The writers making an ambiguous ending and leaving the overall conclusion up to the discretion of the player is disrespectful to the art form; write your story, write it well and let it play out to the vision you created - don't leave people with "maybe this happened..."
. I don't feel the DLC added much, there's some extra story narrative that's covered in the Leviathan one but you can easily watch it online. So if you come in with an open mind about new mechanics (action RPG) and you can get it on sale, definitely worth a play.
AN excellent evolution of the series that so far is quite superb and enjoyable. controls are smooth and gameplay is smoother.
One of the best games I've played from this genre, everything from the graphics to the gameplay is excellent. There is only one small complaint, in some areas there are fps drops, but there are rare moments.
Jogo muito do balacobaco recomendo
