Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.22/day in the week to Aug 4 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This one takes.... significantly more effort to make playable on PC. Probably took me 2-3 hours because I messed up at some point with the process. I think its the better game between this and its predecessor. Naoshi Mizuta's addition to the music team helps a lot. Not nearly as challenging, and some terrible DLC practices for the time, but none of that really matters with this version of the game. Less polished overall, but a lot more enjoyable than the first. If it was any other game I'd recommend against this terrible port, but its FFXIII-2 so it gets a pass. Idk what was up with these pre-2018 Square ports.
Compared to the original, XIII-2 is definitely the more enjoyable experience. Does it have issues? Yes. The port is a bit rough but I found with some patches and some tweaks it was easy to get running and I think I maybe only had one crash during my entire time playing the game. It experiments more with the leveling system and all around it's a good idea in concept. Instead of a linear tree you get more of a sphere grid setup from X, the big issue here being it's very easy to misplace a sphere in a node and the only way to undo it is to reload, but all around the way this works is good and I enjoyed engaging with it. The other big addition to combat is the monster summoning/monster breeding/monster catching thing to replace having a third member which honestly I liked. Granted for a chunk of the normal story content you don't have to get too crazy with it but once you start digging into the optional bosses and things and actually have to tinker with it a bit I kinda dug it. Really if you take the XIII stuff out of this, which you easily could, this feels like a Chrono Trigger/Cross sequel with the dimension/time hopping stuff and honestly the plot wasn't even that bad. I almost wonder if this was another weird 7th gen experimental title in the early design stages and then they repurposed it into a XIII sequel to maximize use from the assets they made for XIII/cut costs. The music was oddly good in some places and then really bad in others. There are tracks here that would fit right at home in an SMT title while there are others that just feel completely out of place and don't sound good at all. There's a bit of an over reliance on these weird puzzle solving mini games which I don't even think you have to engage too much with unless you're insane and doing the 100%/true ending stuff like I did but even then they weren't bad puzzle games or anything, there were just a lot of them. Yeah honestly, compared to the first one and especially compared to the stuff Square has been dumping out the last 10 years or so this game in particular gets kind of an unfair rap. Definitely some issues and some areas that could've used a second design pass but overall I enjoyed my time with this one. Recommended.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Game kept crashing. Gameplay was boring. Never saved my data/gameplay even though autosave was on and I had a save game slot. Had to replay the first and second sequence three times. Crashed on the second time. Only bought for the female MC — she has pink hair.
Неоднозначный сиквел ,но разнообразие миров и собирание света делают игру неплохой для исследования, понравилась чуть больше 13 финалки
Final Fantasy 13-2 is the direct sequel to the popular and iconic installment in the franchise, Final Fantasy 13. The actual game may or may not be good. I wouldn't know, on the count of I can't get it to run on Windows 11, even with all the recommended 3rd party patches, mods and setting changes. Pros: + Brilliant art direction, color palette, character, and overall design by legendary Tetsuya Nomura + Probably other things, but I won't know Cons: - This pc port is one of the worst pc ports in gaming history. If you try to play it vanilla on Windows 10 or 11, it will crash often, freeze upon manual save, and in my case, refuse to even launch after the first time closing the game. Some have luck overcoming this by applying all the recommended 3rd party patches, mods and setting changes. However, some do not have such luck, including myself, as not a single thing worked for me. - You can only control a specified single character in a party, and it is Game Over if said playable character gets KO’ed and allies still stand; said playable characters cannot be revived - Missing features, such as volume settings, controller vibration, and inability to quit the game using a controller, unlike older FF titles had - Open worlds, even more so than that of FF13 Mixed: ~ Combat is still mostly strategic hybrid turn-based and real-time, has some trial and error, and still lacks player agency most FF titles allow. Fortunately, there are a generous amount of save points, pre-battle checkpoints for quick retries, as well as an easy mode for those who prefer more traditional and involved combat ~ Generally more feminine than other FF titles In conclusion, I simply cannot recommend, nor play, this horrid excuse of a pc port. I put in maybe 20 minutes of troubleshooting recommended fixes, however once I found it was to no avail, I had come to the conclusion that if the company behind the game doesn't care enough to patch it, then I don't care enough to spend valuable time attempting to fix it myself. Overall Rating: 1 out of 5
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (16/20)
Memang ini review yang telat bgt, tapii setelah tamtkan trilogi FF13 barusan, aku bisa bilang buat story XIII-2 the best dari trilogi, walaupun Lightning hanya Aura farming sepanjang game, tapi bener bener liatin story setiap char, walaupun ya untuk gameplay aku ngga suka untuk tame monster gitu, untuk soundtrack the best juga ini apalagi serah theme sm noel theme yg dying world, itu best sih. Thank you FF 13 trilogi, I will miss it.
A gem if you get it to run. Very unexpectedly loved this; didn't think that could happen after whatever FF13 tried to be - There's little of Lightning which is probably why I like it - Serah and Noel are great MCs. They both make sense in their positions and have rich lore. Also it only works cuz they're MCs togehter. Either of them alone would've been way too stale - The only companion you can get is cute, so that's worthy of mentioning. Previous companions from FF13 are present in the game, in multiple ways, but never part of your party - The lore is confusing at first, but the game makes a good effort at explaining it. It's layered and deep and you piece it together slowly - The random encounters are too frequent; the combat is fine - Exploration is a stark contrast to FF13 - you can do whatever the hell you want in this game - There's side content, but most content you'll find is necessary for the game progression - Love the music - The story itself has some plotholes, but I enjoyed what they did with it - Good villain
Fun game, but lotssssssssssss of bugs, be prepared to spend the first hour finding patches to fix them, then u can enjoy the rest
I can't believe the game ended like that—WTF. Now I really need to play the next one in the trilogy. That said, what a game!
