Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Each DLC is estimated with the same model as a game, then summed — a modeled figure, not reported DLC sales.
Sums Steam only; PlayStation, Nintendo publish no volume signal, so the true total is higher by an unknown amount.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 8.56/day in the week to Aug 4 → 11.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

FFX I actually finished one of these (2026: year of the JRPG?? Probably not, though). I don't feel equipped with the limited number of barely finished JRPGs under my belt to tackle their mechanics, but I feel this one is fine. Yunalesca was a towering achievement of boss design for this kind of battle system, and shows the strength of the CTB approach, too. What kept me going was, yes, the pacing but also the writing is tiiiight. I am a sucker for the everything is a metaphor and subsequently a meta-metaphor writing style of Nojima and Co. Cutscene direction is nice too. I think Kitase had a filmmaking background? If I ever replay this though, I might stick to emulation. Face models were big whoops.
It's safe to say that this port is playable on my device. Fortunately, nothing problematic ever happens so far. I had played both FFX and FFX-2 on PS2 back in the day, so it's a nice to have the full experience on modern hardware. I don't like the remaster face models of some characters, so I did few things to make it better. The remaster soundtracks are nice, but sometimes on certain locations like Besaid or Zanarkand, I prefer the original arrangement, so not a big deal. I am still on my way to complete FFX, and later X-2 (probably a minority who likes it). Square Enix is known to relatively do the minimum efforts on porting old FF titles to PC, so if you mind or find it bothersome tweaking some stuff in the game to make it better for your own experience, then perhaps it's not your game. The game in itself is playable, so I would still recommend it. I will keep an eye on some notable errors or bugs if there's any,
Play X, X-2 is absolutely garbage
