Excellent in UEVR. 9/10 I cover this and many other VR games in this "What I've been playing" video https://youtu.be/E8hMHS5UZjw
자체적으로 90년대 감성 필터 씌우고 하면 재미있음.
Beautiful graphics and character design, interesting world, but the gameplay just isn't very fun. Couldn't bother finishing it.
Great game! I gooned to Sexyroth.. I mean sephiroth
magia puro sexo
I hate this game. The 25% that's great is completely ruined by the 75% of it that is time wasting and boring filler. This is a 10 hour game that's been padded out to well over 40 hours with some of the most tedious and dull nonsense I've ever seen in a videogame. And the music! Oh my God the music! What is wrong with the person/people that did the score for this? My best guess is that they just directly ported the 1997 score into it and completely ignored all of the great strides in video game music that took place in the decades since. Some of the orchestral parts during cutscenes or boss fights are fine but the rest is hot garbage. For example: The song that plays after tens of thousands of people have just been killed (including several main characters) is an annoying, repetitive, and astoundingly out of place "jazz-funk" track. It's like they picked the worst possible thing they could play at that point on purpose. I felt irritated by it and any emotional build up that I'd had by then was ruined. Instead of pondering what the characters might be feeling or what this meant for the world I was left wondering what on earth I was listening to and what made them think that this was a good time for it. I never played this as a kid and so these aren't fun musical throwbacks to my childhood for me. It's just some of the worst music I've ever heard played at the most inappropriate times. My second major gripe is the pacing and how everything just drags on for way too long. Particularly the boss fight at (what I think/hope is) the end of the game on the highway. I just want it to be over. The bike part on the highway just before it already used up all of the patience I had and I'm bored of it. I'm not going to finish it. If it's not the end of the game then I sure hope that they catch me up at the start of the next one because otherwise whatever comes after this boss fight is going to be a total mystery to me. I just can't take any more. It's not a hard fight and I've got all the healing items I'll need to burn right through it but I just can't be bothered. It's so boring and long. Who's it for? Who likes this? Who wants to spend over half an hour recycling the same moves over and over to slowly chip away at a boss' health? It's mind numbing and infuriating how little respect these devs have for a player's time. I got this bundled with the second part on sale and if the second part is anything like this then I'm not going to rant and rave about it. It's just getting a four word review. Two of those words are Square Enix. I'm sure you can guess the others.
Decent enough if you've never played the original. But it is fundamentally a betrayal of the original. I was skeptical enough when they'd turned it into three games, but willing to see what they'd cooked up. The combat system feels like a lot of work (on the player's part) for very little payoff. Mashing and sliding through menus and playing with your ATB resource in every little mini-encounter. It's flashy and seems cool, at first. After the 37th hour I just want to put down the controller, I'm done with it. I'm nearly 40, I can't imagine playing another 100 hours of this sh*t when I could play something more fun. The sidequests aren't too egregious, but that's all I can really say for them. What do they add? Nothing. Just more bloat to a narrative that had been tight as it needed to be. Just more items that get discarded in the next game. No progress carries over. When I found out Red XIII is not even playable in this game, I felt extreme disappointment. I looked ahead to see if it gets better .... and ended up seeing that it gets worse. Dyne's suicide was removed. Cid's introduction in the story is completely defanged, turning him from one of the heaviest and most impactful characters to just another Kingdom Hearts-ass "grouchy good guy" NPC who self-describes as a "dashing dragoon". I can't believe these are (some of) the original writers. There's a lot of redeeming stuff here. Some of the expanded scenes I found genuinely hilarious. But I can't in good faith recommend this over the original. FF7 was revolutionary. This is ... just another JRPG. Serviceable enough, but I can't forgive the utter cowardice when it comes to removing the darker or more morally ambiguous elements and replacing it with modern, safety-engaged narrative filler. Utterly spineless rewrite.
Pretty graphics, good optimization, nice characters, awesome voice acting (JP), awful and stupid combat system, no keyboard/mouse support and basically no plot. Music is great, but quite often have no sense for a scene. In the end it's just very overrated. Not great, not terrible.
