Combat's fine, story is good. The problem is that this game is made from the ground up to waste the player's time. Every area is designed in such a way that the way forward is right in front of you, but there's always some contrived ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to force you to take a long, tedious detour, usually involving some kind of one-off "puzzle", none of which are challenging, but all of which take ages. It gets really annoying when characters stop to have a several minute conversation about how imperative it is that they hurry and get to the next destination as fast as possible, before dropping you right back into the slow, painful tedium. I got about halfway through before I just couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to like this game so much. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tragic.
