Everything that is done with the FF7 universe is a travesty to the OG. ♥♥♥♥ Nomura and everyone that enabled this BS. Such a travesty
As a non-fan of the franchise wanna give it a try, this game is ♥♥♥♥. The combat is not bad but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying, enemies have constant CC when the party only have stagger but u have to work your ass off to get it when ur enemies can give it to you easily. The cutscenes imo are unnecessarily long. The antagonists have amazing plot armor when u beat them and after that they leave the battlefield laughing at your ass, the characters sometime make stupid decision like when you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun for long range but then u have to run close to your target and put it right next to their head only for them to counter attack and then beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of you (Leslie, Barret). The only good part of the game is the great character design and graphics. All in all, maybe i shouldn't have started the franchise with this game cause i pretty much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate it now. I would play the sequel but only if i have too much money to spare on my hand.

Amazing game and its the prelude. Even the character design are amazing
show de bola
From either developers' pov or the audience, neither should ever have to ask themselves at any given point "why is this happening? why does this exist?" Bland, corny dialogue. Obscene amounts of filler scenes Uninteresting, unengaging side-quests A terribly boring combat system I played Crisis Core years ago, and disliked the title for similar reasons, but I was more than willing to give this style of gaming another try; I'm not a 'purist' by any means, and I applaud games (remakes or otherwise) when they are trying something new and different. Unfortunately, the successful areas of this remake are few and far between: some expanded lore / world-building, and a genuine attempt to further characterize its cast. Even if you're generous with these aspects of the game, they are far outweighed by the glacial pacing and uninteresting story-telling. 12 Hours in, and 8 chapters completed, I feel absolutely no desire to continue outside of "FOMO" on some recompense with future story---and that can be fixed with watching cutscenes on youtube, saving hours upon hours of uninspired game design.
Must play 11/10
