I really want to like this game, but it feels like it's trying to punish the player at every turn until they get too frustrated to keep playing. Hell, I didn't even know about half the moveset until looking up a STEAM GUIDE of all things because the game doesn't even tell you about it beyond the buyable ones. The combat itself is easy to understand, but actually engaging with it can be a real pain due to the input delay and how absurdly fast enemies can hit you. Put two on screen at once, and there's an extremely high chance you'll just get stun locked until dying. Death itself isn't too bad since there are unlimited lives, but it does take away ALL of your mana for special attacks, which just feels a way to discourage people who aren't as good at perfecting these types of games. I wouldn't consider myself terrible, but It took me months to finally work up the motivation to beat the giant wolf boss because of how punishing it is. Basically, unless you learn how to parry, you aren't going to beat it. There is a rather unfinished vibe to the game as well in certain areas. Pressing the back button (on controller at least) brings up an empty UI menu. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a map or unused inventory, but it's completely useless. It also abruptly rolls to credits when you finish, so don't expect any actual story or closure. Kinda disappointing with how long this was developed for. The Lyra and Bon Bon appearance did make me happy though. Probably my favorite part of the whole game.

Let me just say that regardless of the quality of the gameplay, the graphics and music are absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, the gameplay is the key thing barring me from seeing and hearing all of the graphics and music in the game. Enemies will frequently stunlock you with much higher damage than they should reasonably be able to deal, whereas stunlocking an enemy is literally impossible. Additionally, the ones with ranged attacks are able to attack and even target you from off-screen. Easy mode does nothing to remedy anything so far as I can discern, assuming it even does anything whatsoever. It did absolutely nothing to the stunlocking issue nor did it affect damage dealt or received by the player. Now, I'm a fan of challenging games, but there's a very fine line that's all too easy to cross when trying to make a game challenging where it veers over into being straight up unfair; put simply, the fighting game feel is there, but every enemy aside from the slimes in the first area feels less like fodder and more like a boss fight, to speak nothing of the actual bosses. More minor gripes include that the tutorial fails to explain any combos, most special moves are poorly explained, hitboxes are all over the damn place, and the platforming is clunky at best. I wanted so badly to enjoy this game but all of these issues mean that if I do bother to keep it, I'll pick it up for about three minutes at a time at best, never actually make any progress to see anything new and interesting, eventually lose interest, and forget the game is even in my library until someone randomly brings it up and I groan in exasperation.
I originally bought this game because I wanted to play some form of pony game on Steam, but the execution of this game blew me away. From movement tips for possible speedrunning, a solid combat system, fun enemy variety and various maps you can travel between, this game became a instant hit for me. I wanted to 100% it so bad and it was worth every penny in my opinion. Pick up this game if you want a solid level progressor game with beat 'em up elements.
Old command months ago: The overall game is alright, but the fact that I have no idea where am I going or what am I doing got me stuck at the second zone. I picked up something and what does it do? No idea, found many dead ends and spent 5 minutes wandering around the same area back and forth. The forgiving part that made it's reasonably doable was the fact that I get to respawn with full health. So at least it's not... a rage game. Or is it a rage game? Re-played Review: 26/05/2025 Re-played the game using a tool assist and finally got through the entire campaign. Now my frustrations has been sated. Please bare in mind that this game gave me Them Fight'n Herds feel, and the entire run felt like I was on the hardest difficulty. So I had to use a tool assist. You may call it unfair or it ruins the game. I would never finish it otherwise. That's my take to it
Fun and difficult game. Might need some patience for some parts though.
Cute little game combat in some areas is a bit rough but an overall fun time
This is adorable and fun. Not too polished in some parts but it's an indie game, so what do you expect? I love it!(Still needs a lot of polish)
Игра классная она про пони и это шедевр. 100 стуков копыт об ящик из 10
Well, that was fun! Played it through in 4,7 hours and was left yearning for more. This game was sufficiently hard for a tougher platform gamer like me. Interesting fight mechanics, you really had to use the blocking or can't win anything in this game. Fun to learn what move combinations work on which enemies and bosses. Some fun boss designs. Movement could have been more fluid and I would have wanted to get more special moves. I think the game would have benefitted if the moves could have been executed in faster succession and also if the inertia from slide would have stayed for a jump right after and the upper cut would have been possible faster after other moves... If not from the beginning then maybe after a powerup. Now the jankiness of movement leaves somewhat amateurish feel for otherwise polished game. Character design is really cute and the game looks beautiful. Maybe there could be part 2 with more fluidity, more moves, more enemies and more levels... and maybe a little bit more story too.
