About
Venture into a handcrafted world where ruins whisper of past cataclysms. Master the art of sword and sorcery and forge your path with relics, spells and choices that shape who you become in this first-person RPG.
While Fatekeeper follows a focused narrative path, the world invites exploration. From ancient battlegrounds, vast underground caverns and serene forests to crumbling sanctuaries forgotten by time, each area rewards curiosity with hidden lore, forgotten relics, and unexpected encounters.
Battle a wide variety of foes, each with distinct patterns, strengths, and weaknesses. Success demands both skill and preparation. Engage in reactive melee combat, unleash spells with precision, and adapt your tactics on the fly. Your build matters—but so does how you wield it.
Fatekeeper offers rich progression mechanics that go far beyond surface-level stats. Build and refine your character with meaningful choices across combat styles, attributes, and spell schools. Whether you lean into raw strength, nimble precision, or devastating sorcery, the game supports a wide range of viable and unique builds.
Discover, loot, and master a wide variety of weapons, armor, and artifacts. Customize your loadout to suit your playstyle, and experiment with powerful combinations to overcome increasingly challenging enemies. Every item matters—and the right gear can be the difference between victory and ruin.

Reviews
These are all as of July 2026 in the first Early Access content... Mostly reviewing for the development team! Inspiring: * Truly next-gen beautiful UE graphics, I had to stop look at the vast mountainous landscape many times in the game to take screenshots because it was so gorgeous! * Very reminiscent/inspired by Dark Messiah. * Diablo 1 & 2 inspired guitar soundtrack moments. * Gorey and amusing ragdoll deaths. * Decent enough difficulty. * Good bones of a FPS-RPG game. Concern: * The initial seeds of interesting characters and voice acting have been sown but the shoots are not showing yet (I'm looking at you tantalising Dragon mount and voiceless Blacksmith NPC at the Haven). In general, I would love more interaction between the main character and Rat side kick. * Can't scroll about freely on the skill tree page so have to awkwardly zoom in and out to see the wanted skill point to read it's tooltip. * Currently no journal or lore options to view in the inventory menu. * No option to create your own armour or weapons, I assume this will come later with the blacksmith in Haven. * The team is only 13 developers and I already have anxiety that they will not deliver my hopes and aspirations of what this game could be in the 18 month time span they are aiming for (without further budget and developers). I fear this is a game of "what could have been" as so many have been with Early Access. Help the team out THQ Nordic! Feedback: * Ranged is necessary but also quite weak and spammy with a lot of the time you're pressured into suboptimal spell choices despite obvious level design with quite high mana costs. (Push/pull mobs off ledges, pits, spike fences etc.) * Spells could use a quick wheel option rather than spamming X frantically. * Feels like it takes too many spell hits to get a enemy to be set on fire or to be slowed down by ice. * The distance to push enemies with the wind spell feels too short by default. You're often getting decimated by ranged enemies before you can get it off to get a satisfying environmental kill. * No health bars for enemies and no numerical indicators of your health or mana on the base UI. I would have love to known how close/far I was from killing the second boss after dying over and over again to finally kill them, * The combat was already beginning to get a bit frustrating and samey by the end of the first two hours. * Complete lack of Armour, Necklace, Helm options right now. You're also given quicker one handed weapons without the ability to dual wield them so there isn't a huge incentive to opt for them. * I felt robbed that in a fantasy RPG game that there was no loot off any of the mobs I killed. * AI pathing could be better, I had instances where enemies just ran into spike fences whilst trying to directly path to me down a corridor and one-shot themself. * Poison damage from ranged is currently very nasty and could use better balancing. * Potion and Vial creation seems to mostly only serve the benefit of clearing up your inventory space at the moment. * It feels like you regain stamina far too quickly to max and would need the speed of the combat to be re-tweaked to account for this, if changed. * To echo another review, less mobs swarms and better, stronger small amounts of enemies with better combat AI to defeat. * The game install state is pretty large for such a small offering, most likely due to the high definition textures and there is also many, many level transition states between areas through doors. It would be great if this was minimised or more seamless with more continuous level design as is expected in 2026.

It's simple, gorgeous, and only 15 bucks
A mashup of Fable, Chivalry, Dark Souls & Skyrim. 5 hours is too short but hoping the $10 donation will pay for a finished game. The learning curve is unique, crafting is intuitive, and the fights are random. Solid game!
Simply awesome. Old school, reminiscent of Conan the barbarian (story) , tactical, atmospheric, challenging. @developers give us more!
Really good game needs a lot of work though If you want a finished game don't get it if you want to go along for the ride get it it's pretty fun
This is why you don't do drugs. You feel great but they don't last that long and it will never feel the same again. I need this game to be 100+ hours of content and I need it delivered to my door 10 minutes ago. It cost around 12 dollars. That is a kebab where I'm from and I sure spend less than 2 hours devouring that. So, spending 12 buckies on a 2 hour long fps rpg, playing as a knight where I can cut off limbs in 100+ FOV is not a bad deal. But in all seriousness, its a great proof of concept and a great intro to a world I really really want to explore. I'm guessing everyone bought this due to the graphics and the fact that knights are dope but the very small taste of world building we get is amazing. Felt like such a shock when the game ended. I felt like the little info I had was one page out of a Brandon Sanderson novel. I need more. (FOR THE DEVS) The gameplay feels so nice and the graphics are so stunning. While we wait for you to finish the campaign, would it not be cool to add some type of gameplay loop outside of the campaign? That way more people stay active while you work on making this game greater. Would be dope with some raid type missions with more weapons and armorsets
Accessibility settings page is empty. Half of the dialogue fails to show up on subtitles. I used the built-in benchmark test to recommend graphics settings, and the game recommended a custom quality with most settings on Ultra. I thought that was a bit optimistic for this old gaming laptop, so I turned the Ultra settings down to Medium. But even then, the game stuttered. At 1.5 hours in, the game was lagging to the point of being nearly unplayable, and when I paused to try and quit, the game froze. Not only did it freeze, but none of the usual Ctrl-Alt-Delete type shortcuts let me escape. Eventually my laptop bluescreened, and the game was still visible behind the Windows "your PC ran into a problem" text, with the game music still playing. Quite unusual. Personally, I wouldn't have put this out to Early Access yet, this feels more like a beta-test build. I do however look forward to seeing how this game might be in a few years.
The early access has been incredible and im sure many will be excited for the full release. while there are some things here and there like the abilities and the audio/music that could be improved, for a cheap early access game this surpassed the expectations.
either my pc isnt good enough or the optimization is horrible ill still give it a positive because it has potential and if i had at least 60 fps then i would love it
