This review is neutral: I really enjoyed the first Farm Together game but Farm Together 2 doesn't hold my attention. I've owned it since it came out but I can't play it for long without losing interest. Farm Together 2 has improved Graphics which is good and "improved" farming techniques (like auto plow etc). Good for some, but I'm not a fan. FT2 also removed the kiosk structures used to sell goods in the first Farm Together to a separate, somewhat modifiable town instance. I personally prefer selling my goods directly from my farm like in the original. FT2 also has a land tool that allows you to modify your farm to create some unique landscape designs like waterfalls. There is also a mine that becomes available and the ability to make statues in your houses. These are all good improvements from the original. My biggest complaint is the flow of the game itself. Most of my time is spent planting, harvesting and waiting. The first farm together seemed better balanced. You were always decorating or planting and there was a sense of anticipation for each new level. Farm Together 2, imo, has very disjointed and repetitive decor. It's not substantial enough to make decorating and designing my farm an enjoyable time-sink . All in all, if you like cute farming games, go for it. It runs well on my PC, has a pleasant sound loop and is a relaxing game. If you've played the original Farm Together and enjoyed designing and redesigning your farm, you might be disappointed with the lack of decor, its randomness and the overall vibe of this one compared to the original.

I thought I'd take a chance on Farm Together 2, especially with such good reviews. It took me a day to really get into it and an idea of what I am doing, but truly love the game now. It's so relaxing, but also makes you think about farm layouts, how to progress and have enough in game currency to move forward. I adore the art style of the game and the customisation you can add - plus having the multiplayer part is great for when you want solo time or allow other people onto your farm. The devs are very active in adding new features into the game and very responsive, especially on discord. I can't recommend Farm Together 2 enough, it's probably one of my all-time favourites now.
