I spent over 200 hours in Farm Together and really enjoyed it. Farm Together 2 brings some nice improvements and additions over the original. However, if you played the first game a lot, you’ll likely feel that the core gameplay hasn’t changed enough, and after a while it starts to feel more like a routine than real progression. That said, if you’re new to the series, it’s a great starting point and offers a chill and enjoyable experience.

if you liked farmville from the OG facebook days then this game is for you. it's essentially a 3d farmville. I have unlocked everything which i will admit takes an extreme amount of time to do if you are like me and hop on for a couple hours a day. my play time you see is just idle time so players can join my farm. this game has a chokehold on me. even with having everything unlocked there is still so much i have to do like getting max player level which seems to be harder to level vs the farm itself. i'm farm level 696 out of 750 but only player level 546 so quite a while till i'm done with that. everything in the game can be leveled and prestiged (except buildings although that would be cool if we could) so you can imagine the amount of time to get everything maxed out. i like games like this while a lot might find it boring i dont.
It scratches that itch of those stupid farming/create a shop type mobile games without being that "give me money to speed things up" mobile game.
I played the first Farm Together back in 2018, and it was an absolute blast. Now I've graduated and started playing Farm Together 2. It gives me the same nostalgia as the first game, but it's an even better experience. This game is just special to me, and I'll always love it.
...just look at my hours. I tend to only leave reviews on games that I have hit the 1k mark on anyways, but I lost track of time and am at 1,600+ at the time of this review for hours. If you're tired as heck and just coming off of your shift at work, this is a good cool down. I play this on both my Steamdeck and my PC with seamless cross over when switching between the two. I tend to play this game by myself, most of the time, but my husband and my mother also play and we hop on eachothers farms during events or when we need major decorating help. About the game: You can open up your farm to randoms or just have friends allowed or just keep to yourself. Cute graphics, cute themes, you can go in to super "Big Brain" mode with this or you can just "Smooth Brain" your game play. I am a sucker for options and love that you can do either. Micro manage your farm or hire staff in the game (for in game currency) to handle the important stuff for you when you inevitably pass out from exhaustion from living your everyday life - or mix the two! Literally the only con I have for this game - so far- is that I can't integrate my Playstation friends list to my game. But even then, it's not a big deal since I can just send them a message with my farm code and they can join anyways. Long story short: Life is hard, but your game doesn't have to be - enjoy.
Cozy game? No, this is an unpaid full-time job. Not recommended if you play alone. Unfair Solo Balance: The game doesn't scale down for solo players. You are forced to do the work of an entire crew by yourself. The 3x3 Tractor Curse: Expanding your farm becomes a nightmare. Facing massive land expansions with a tractor that only clears a tiny 3x3 grid feels like manual labor, not fun. Endless Loop: You just grind money to unlock space to grind more money. There is no ultimate goal or satisfying end. Skip this if you don't have friends to play with. It doesn't respect your time.
