Far Cry 3 - Blood Dragon

Extremely poor performance for such an old title. Just as a lot of other old ubisoft titles they dont scale well to modern PCs.

I'm not a huge fan of a Farcry series. A long time ago I played this comic spinoff and were really enjoyed it. I bought it out of nostalgia. Having some bad sex on first run: - Ultra LOW !vertical! resolution making it impossible to read menu items; I had to click on them blindly while trying to fix things. - Broken menu system: settings reset when I hit "Back" even it I already applied by hiting "Apply". Ubihow is that? At one point it reseted resolution also when I was in a different submenu. So I should to fix it all over again. *Fine I thought: "it's just good old game with a mediocre port" First 2 hours offered smooth enjoyable gameplay. Just as I'd expected. Except of one little thing. The game constantly tries to connect to servers that seems no longer exist. You're plaing, you hit ESC, the game lock up controls and says: "wait a minute, I'll try to reconnect"... And you have no choise but to sit there waiting like an idiot again and again ... It's annoying. Quiting the game and went about my day. Second run same day evening. The game simply crashes when trying to load a savefile, or it loads fine but crashes after about a minute. I woundered if the savefile becomes corrupted somehow. Starting new game - same result. I verified the game files via Steam - no corrupt files, same result. I made clean reinstall of the game - same result. Now it just does not work. I've "played" for 2.6 hours, so I can't get a refund anymore =/ If I ever want to play some Ubi-game in the future, I'd be better buy it on green store. Ubisoft no longer deserves my money. Never buy you see Fecalogo view from above...

I like this game very much!
