Fantasy Tavern Sextet -Vol.2 Adventurer's Days-

I don't feel like this has as much charm as the first episode. You really have to turn off your brain to completely enjoy Fantasy Tavern Sextet, because it's really not something unique. It has no deep characters or a great story, it's very clichéd and unfortunately, not in a good way. It lacks in world building, barely knowing what's going on, but at the very least it does a decent enough job making the characters likeable. But honestly, I enjoyed this episode, so I have no choice, but to recommend it, especially if you already played the first one. It's very short, but for what it is, it's really not bad. The two heroines highlighted in this episode, Dahlia and Veronica are charming (especially Veronica hits home hard if I let my horny self think for a moment), so I think it's a nice addition to the first episode.

So, I'll be doing something a little different here, as there are two direct sequels to this game, I'll basically be reviewing them as a trio. Between all three, I can say that the VFX, SFX, BGM, and UI are all beyond reproach. The CGs are great, but could be better - it seems like they made some small sacrifices to the quality to add animation, that - while better than usual - seemed ultimately pointless. The characters too were quite well done in that they all have an actual personality beyond "♥♥♥♥ me for reasons"- the sex feels... earned, for lack of any better term; each one is pretty, and pretty unique in terms of appearance. (I'm quite pleased that they seemed to steer clear of the bog-standard big tiddied blonde with blue or green eyes.) The game actually has a STORY, and while a little on the simple side, the sex is as a result of the story and not the impetus for it. (RE:FTS1) Credit where it's due, the game(/s) does(/do) make a good point of giving each character ample time to develop. Despite being a "sextet", each game only focuses on two characters, and briefly introduces a few others. For character development, I like this approach, but there are problems that crop up later as a result. Lupine and Daisy are both likable to varying degrees, though I think the way they handled the developing relationships was... unnatural; in reverse order. The biggest disappointment however is just how short the game is - a common theme, sadly. 7/10 (RE:FTS2) Continuing the trend of giving the characters the development they deserve, I think they did the best job with Dahlia and Veronica. The story too was more complex, if not necessarily better, as this game too is short. The story feels a little rushed and rife with deus ex machina, still I'm impressed they managed to squeeze in as much as they did without turning it into an incomprehensible mess. Unfortunately this is where giving each character the development they need starts showing it's downsides - despite the fact that Lupine and Daisy are as integral to the story as ever, they get very little attention. Which feels wrong - you spend the whole to the first game developing a relationship with them, and growing to love them; then they're set by the wayside to such a degree that they practically no longer exist. 7/10 (RE:FTS3) The story here is the sloppiest, they spend a significant chunk of the first half making Anzu an insufferable ♥♥♥♥, only to try and redeem her later. I understand her reasons, as I too wear a mask, but that doesn't excuse being a lazy antagonistic ♥♥♥♥ for the whole of the interactions with her up to this point (including the who knows how many months or years they were co-workers before being transported to this world). Plumeria redeems the story though, to the point of being tolerable. Her developments make sense and are well timed (plus she's the most attractive character, imo). Again, though - the previous characters get practically abandoned. At times, Lupine and Daisy will act jealous and/or possessive - and it's hard to blame them. 6/10 Given each game's length, I see no reason why it should've been divided into 3 parts; I can only assume it was a cash grab tactic on the part of the devs, as there are other VNs with better CGs that are as long as (or longer) than all 3 of these games combined. As such, I cannot recommend any of these games individually, especially at 13USD. HOWEVER - I can recommend getting all 3 together. They're good enough to justify the 39USD price tag. That said, I do wish they were significantly longer, individually or as a group - giving some love (even if just figuratively) to previous characters. 7/10 as a group

It's short but Sweet, Worth it on Sale. It's one of the most digestible VN's I've experienced, probably ever tbh. There's not much depth to the narrative, and for those that simply want a relaxing wind-down experience for a peaceful, non-offensive story, this is it. Doesn't matter if you leave the story for a short period of time, as you know what's happening, unlike in some VN's that become a bloated experience that require regular playing to really understand what's happening, this is a simple and short but sweet story that has very little depth, but you feel it's heart show through. The characters are surprisingly heartwarming, and I actually kind of teared up at Veronica's story of blaming herself for a certain event. It's not worth it to spoil, as experiencing this story is actually worth going through with no expectations. I also liked Dahlia, she was a straightforward, somewhat clueless and innocent knight that you really feel like she does deserve some recognition of her charms, as she's a nice character to experience this story with. Honestly, this one is the best of the three, and you actually kind of wish for a longer story with more plot to experience these characters with, both Dahlia and Veronica are Top tier, their story and character development is a lot better than either of the other volumes. This series was well worth experiencing, thought it is hard to recommend the series at full price, as there is no replay-ability to this story once it's done, (as is all VN's tbh, but this one is so short, that it's hard to recommend on full price). One of the best VN's imo, just wish there were more scenes with the OG's in the Harem, Daisy and Lupine. Each Volume seems to imply they all get together in this harem narrative, but refuses to show it in each volume, which is a shame, Daisy's H-scene in the first was unexpectedly great.

I like it, but English is clearly not the writer's first language. The writer often uses words that are not correct, like using harmonized when they should have used synchronized. They also write blown back (writers who aren't proficient with English love to do this) when they should have used knocked back or pushed back. Blown back should only be used when the pushing force is an explosion or the wind. They also don't know the rule about putting a space after a comma and use "outdue", which is not a word. They use blown away like they do blown back, but it actually means to be amazed or impressed by something. Punctuation is also an issue, like using a question mark when a character is not asking a question? <-Do you see what I did there? They often won't use a question mark when a sentence is clearly in need of one. The writer does not know what it means to truly monopolize a person. They use it too frequently and casually. The writer does not know the difference between hurdling and hurtling. Hurdling is leaping over an object while running. Hurtling is speeding toward something, often being dangerously out of control. If you are playing with the patch installed, the writing during the H scenes is even worse. It is so bad that it becomes almost unbearable.
