I really enjoyed this game. It is visually pleasing and I love the mix of little puzzles. The sounds of the cards and the falling coins are very satisfying.
No fim, vale a pena se a ideia for relaxar sem pensar demais. Platinar o jogo também não é complicado!
There's not much of a story, and what little there is doesn't make any sense, but if you just want to play a little solitaire in a fairy-esque landscape, this game will do just fine. Easy to 100% as well, for the achievement hunters. Maybe get it on discount, though - the game does show its age. Works on Steam Deck straight out of the box. I did need to turn on "original resolution" in the settings to play it docked.
listen i love solitaire and this made it even better. no notes, just vibes
Fantasy Quest Solitaire by rokaplay is a casual card-based experience that takes the familiar mechanics of solitaire and expands them into a light, story-driven adventure set in a whimsical fantasy world. Rather than presenting solitaire as a series of disconnected matches, the game frames each level as part of a broader quest to restore a fractured fairy kingdom. This added structure gives the experience a sense of progression and purpose, transforming what could have been a simple card game into something closer to a gentle, narrative-guided journey. At its core, the gameplay adheres to recognizable solitaire rules, making it immediately approachable. Players clear cards from the board by following sequential values, gradually working toward completing each layout. The simplicity of this system is one of the game’s strongest qualities, allowing players to jump in without needing to learn complex mechanics. However, the game builds upon this foundation by introducing power-ups, special cards, and modifiers that slightly alter how levels are approached. These additions provide moments of decision-making, such as when to use a wildcard or how to recover from a stalled hand, giving the gameplay just enough variation to remain engaging over time. The campaign structure is where Fantasy Quest Solitaire distinguishes itself most clearly. With a large number of levels tied together by a loose narrative, the game encourages continuous progression rather than isolated play sessions. Completing levels contributes to rebuilding parts of the fairy realm, offering a small but satisfying sense of accomplishment beyond simply clearing cards. This sense of forward momentum helps maintain player interest, even when the underlying mechanics remain consistent. To further diversify the experience, the game incorporates a range of side activities and mini-games. These include elements such as match-3 puzzles, hidden object segments, and light time-management challenges, all woven into the overall progression. While these diversions are relatively simple and do not offer significant depth, they serve as effective pacing tools, breaking up the repetition of solitaire and adding a sense of variety. For casual players, this mixture of gameplay styles can make the experience feel more dynamic and less monotonous. Despite these strengths, the game’s accessibility comes at the cost of challenge. The difficulty level remains consistently low, and most levels can be completed without requiring advanced strategy or careful planning. Power-ups are generous, and failure is rarely punishing, which makes the experience relaxing but also limits its long-term engagement for players seeking a more demanding puzzle. The game rarely pushes the player to think beyond basic optimization, and as a result, it may feel overly straightforward for those looking for a deeper or more competitive card game. Visually, Fantasy Quest Solitaire embraces a colorful, storybook-inspired art style that complements its lighthearted tone. The environments and characters are designed with clarity in mind, ensuring that the cards and interactive elements are always easy to read. While the visuals are not particularly detailed or groundbreaking, they are cohesive and pleasant, contributing to the game’s overall sense of charm. The audio design follows a similar approach, featuring gentle, upbeat music and simple sound effects that reinforce the relaxing atmosphere without becoming intrusive. In terms of content, the game offers a solid amount of material for its genre. A full playthrough spans several hours, with optional objectives and achievements providing additional incentives for completionists. However, once the main campaign is finished, there is limited reason to return, as the game does not include extensive replay systems or evolving challenges. This makes it well-suited for a one-time playthrough but less appealing as a long-term staple. Ultimately, Fantasy Quest Solitaire succeeds in delivering a polished and enjoyable casual experience that prioritizes comfort and accessibility over complexity. Its combination of classic solitaire mechanics, light progression, and varied side activities creates a steady and relaxing gameplay loop that is easy to engage with. While it lacks the depth and challenge needed to stand out among more demanding puzzle games, it excels at what it sets out to do: provide a charming, low-stress adventure that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. Rating: 7/10
This review is specially made for those who like to get all the achievements in games (minor spoilers ahead). Description: Fantasy Quest Solitaire is a P&C classic solitaire card game with 100 different levels, but some of them are puzzle mini-games of different types: finding hidden objects, candy crush-like combine 3, and code-making, but all are easier than the solitary levels. The graphics are hand drawn and resemble old 90’s games, they aren’t cutting edge but have a nostalgic feel and look good enough for a game of this genre. The levels vary a little in difficulty depending on how many cards you can play right at the beginning, some levels have a lot of locked cards that you need to unlock first. But after you get these achievements: save 12 000 in gold and win levels without using the undo and wild cards (only got these at level 35 or so, might require winning the levels in a row), you can start using wild cards and items to win the most difficult levels easily. In the end, I had to replay some levels a few times to get the stickers I was missing, for the last achievement. Achievements: How many: 16 Achievements. How much time: Around 5,5 hours, without a guide. Game difficulty: Easy, completing the levels with at least one star isn’t too hard. Achievements’ Difficulty: Medium, depending on luck you’ll have to replay some levels a few times to get 3 stars. Gets easier with items and wild cards later. Overall opinion: Fantasy Quest Solitaire is a cheap (gray market), indie P&C classic solitaire card game for fans of the genre with nostalgic old-looking graphics and 100 levels of varying difficulty. Getting all achievements require a bit of effort but isn’t too hard for an experienced player. A fun solitaire game with a few breaks in between. Nothing fancy, but enough to keep you going.
