I really wanted to like this game. The art style is charming, the concept is solid, and I love shop management games. Unfortunately, after a few hours it became obvious that **Faire Trade values busywork far more than the player's time.** The onboarding is rough. The tutorial feels poorly paced, and at one point I didn't even have enough money to complete the objective it was asking me to do and what that objective was - wasn't even clear! Instead of teaching the game's systems naturally, it left me wondering whether I had made a mistake or whether the economy simply wasn't balanced around the tutorial. The biggest problem, however, is the gameplay loop. Customers frequently buy a single item, instantly emptying a display, which sends you running back to storage to refill it. Over and over. It quickly turns into: * Customer buys one item. * Shelf is empty. * Restock. * Repeat. That isn't engaging management—it's repetitive maintenance. The game advertises employees, but don't expect meaningful automation. Even with staff available, much of your time is still spent manually restocking, crafting, transporting goods, and handling logistics yourself. It never reaches that satisfying point where you're managing a thriving business instead of acting as the stock clerk, warehouse worker, cashier, and delivery person all at once. Recent updates have expanded employee roles, but the overall experience still leans heavily toward micromanagement. There are some genuinely nice ideas here. The world is attractive, seasonal progression is interesting, and the relationship systems have potential. But the core gameplay loop simply isn't respectful of the player's time. It feels like the game is constantly interrupting you with chores instead of letting you build and optimize your shop. If you enjoy highly manual management games where you're constantly refilling shelves and performing repetitive tasks, you may enjoy it. If you're looking for a shop simulator that gradually lets you delegate work and focus on growing your business, this currently falls well short. Winkeltje is charming, this game is not (at this stage), and just includes things that don't even seem to enhance the core loop, and annoyances.. I'm hopeful Early Access improves things, because the foundation is there. Right now, though, the tedious micromanagement overshadows everything else. What this game did bring to me was Teddy's Haven, a reviewer mentioned it, and that game is outstanding. lol
Great game, difficult to stop playing
Excellent game, superb fluidity in graphics, love the full 360 degrees available rotations. Lots of room for improvements and simple yet challenging.
I was pretty excited when I got this gifted to me, because I love a good shop simulator, but I couldn't even get past the tutorial. It was quite difficult as all it would say is something like "Craft this thing" or "Go here" but did not explain how to craft, where to get the ingredients to craft said thing, and no other indication as to where you had to go without running around aimlessly. Took me a hot minute to find who I need to look for in town, but since you can't angle the camera to look around in front of you, you're quite limited. I wanted to love this game, but if I got frustrated during the tutorial then that's it for me. Went ahead and refunded.
"you get what you expect" - it's an early access of a shop-keeping game; you keep a shop and several branches are yet un-developed but wholly, it's a fun game that lets you run a medieval shop as you please. In its current form it's very 'sandbox-like', but knowing Winkeltje (the prequel) it'll likely get much better as it encoaches the official release
Really fun game. The producers of this game also keep up with bug reports and fixins.
The game loop in this one is unique, addictive, and I find myself continuing to return to it over and over - super underrated shop simulator!
good gamb :)
A fun update to the original game. Looking forward to additional content.
The games is very much like Winkeltje but with a more open world concept. It's still in early access so there is still room for improvement.
