Updated Sep. 24, 2024 I've only played this game for about a half hour, but because it's a Souls-like it doesn't take long to determine whether you want to keep playing or not. This is meant as constructive criticism, to hopefully reveal the game's strengths and weaknesses to the developer. Pros; The environment, lighting and character models are rendered beautifully. That is probably this games greatest strength. The character animations a very good as well. They feel very smooth when swinging weapons around. Cons; The first thing I noticed off the bat is that my avatar was wearing a hood with no face. Not sure if this is a bug, I would suggest giving him a helmet if you don't have a face model to use. Updated: Has been fixed by latest update. This game like many other Souls-like games seems to use selective physics, which I am not a fan off. What that means is that when you the player are hit by an enemy you will 100% of the time get a hit reaction and will be interrupted if you're in the middle of an attack or doing any other action. This becomes especially noticeable when fighting the skeletons, as they are the same size as you, so should behave the same way. But after a couple of fights I noticed that their hit reaction is far less so perhaps 1 out of 3 or 4 hits will get a hit reaction from the enemy. This could be an oversight by the developer, but I can say it does not feel fun when your landing good hits with your giant great-sword and the skeleton just ignores it. It feels very grindy, but worse is that my character feels toothless when it really matters in combat. Recommendation to Fix: Give the character the same physics for attacking as he gets for receiving attacks. Fix this and your combat will be far more enjoyable and will give the player that power fantasy feeling, when your landing great hits on your enemy. Update; This has been fixed by latest updates! Another issue I noticed is that the Blocking animation is too slow to be viable when used in combat, so I ended up mostly dodging the entire time when using the great-sword. Blocking needs improving, I'll leave it at that. Update; Blocking has been fixed with latest patches! I also noticed that the stamina mechanic isn't really working, because I was able to continually attack even when my stamina bar was depleted. You'll need to fix this, but I might also suggest some type of visual or audio feedback when running out of stamina, like heavy breathing and perhaps even a blurry vision effect on the screen, so that players don't need to look at there stamina bar constantly in combat. Update: Stamina mechanic has been improved significantly. I played with an XBOX controller, and I can say that the Bow & Arrow are unplayable in combat, it desperately needs an Auto-Aim function to make it viable in combat. UI Suggestions; The ability to turn off the enemy health bars in the game-play settings would be great, or have the health bar appear at the top of the screen. I feel like it takes me out of the game when I see a floating health-bar above my enemy's head. Update; Health bars seem to have their visibility reduced, which is an improvement for me! The Lock-on widget is a little too large in my opinion. The ability to reduce it's size or remove it all together in the game settings would be fantastic. I hope this was constructive, I think fixing some of these major issues will really make this game a top tier soul-like. It has a lot of potential, but just needs a lot of spit and polish. I can't recommend it until some of these bugs are fixed, but if you don't mind the issues then you will enjoy the game.
I wrote a review ages ago about how this game felt buggy, incomplete, full of promise, but ultimately garbage quality. It is no longer garbage quality. The combat feels great. The movement feels good. The flow of gameplay is tasty. I played for 5 minutes after seeing an update on twitter and immediately apologized directly to the dev. It went from being that bad to being that good. I love seeing devs turn their games around like this. It really is worth supporting even just for the comeback story, play this game!!!
I've been trying the new version of this game as the developer (yes just one) has updated the game with new systems, world, mechanics and content apparently. I tried this game maybe 1 or 2 years ago when i just bought it on Early Access as it seemed very promising...and it was even back then. I just didn't play long because there was, according to me balance and technical issues. But i always wanted to try it again because i really enjoyed the feeling of the game, the world and atmosphere. And this new update and rebuild of the game is awesome i must say. I might have only play 3 or 4 hours the first time and now i think a bit more than 2 hours as i'm writing this but i can already feel the vast improvement. Combat feels good, fast (even if a bit floaty), impactful and satisfying to me. I chose the rogue so i don't know for the other 2 classes but this one feels good. As i like in Soulslike games, you start weak but become stronger as the game progresses and i really enjoy the 2 first bosses and used all the tricks i had available to fight them (which means daggers and bow in that case). The story seems interesting and i want to dive into it already. The city of Baltane is charming and almost all the NPC's have something to say (the main one being voice acted even). Great stuff! Really good job from the developer, i'll continue playing and i'm already looking forward to trying new content. Give it a try, this one might become a really good game.
Sehr schade
I am not a major computer gamer so I do not run the game on crazy specs but I have enjoyed so far. Combat misses the mark sometimes and not quite sure where story is going but overall am enjoying the game. It has improved quite a bit over the last couple months. for what it is I would give it 6.5-7/10. I really hope they keep working on this game and finish it. I think it has great potential
Je recommande ce jeu.
This game is pretty fun! I love the new companion system, but it's still unfortunately hard to play due to the very low Framerate I've had to deal with.

I worked everything out after an hours playtime. and found that it was fairly easy when it's 1v1 but then it gets harder when your out numbered. There is a crafting system for potions and other stuff and an ally Ai system having it fight along side you. There is a story line and its souls like map where really every scene is in a next open world dungeon style. The Enemy Ai will punish you so its important to learn their moves quickly and find their telltale to learn how to evade or counter them. Graphics/Frames Ran pretty smooth for me I got a stable 60-70 fps during combat sequences. The graphics are really good utilising lighting and shadows really well. The modeling and everything else is great also. Progression As you progress you get to level up and apply other attributes to your character. There is more to uncover as you go. Final Thoughts I think that this is a great Souls like game and will give hours of fun for the dungeon seeker who loves a good story-line. Rating out of 5 4/5 still needs balancing especially when ganged my mobs.
