Fade

The word "Noir" comes to mind. Very old school vibe. High difficulty curve. Horror suspense, explore, gather and manage scarce resources, die, repeat. There is a kind of Silent Hill sensibility about bullet and resource management and gathering mechanics but with a more classic over head view and more of a Lovecraftian tone. *Edit: Oh I forgot to mention, it has an autosave mechanic that forces you to advance...once you trigger the autosave there is no going back to see what you might have missed and sometimes its not totally obvious what is going to trigger it and you cannot save when you want or reload previous saves, dying just takes you back to your last check point save...but that's cool, I have a feeling the game is very short...I might find out some day... For $1.99 I would say this is a hidden gem for old school gamers. Probably best played with a mouse, the gamepad controls can be a bit jank. Also, somehow I am the first person to leave a review for this game. So everyone who reads this is obligated to give me an award. Those are the rules. I don't make them up. Who does that?
