Seriously ♥♥♥♥ this game. Im 30 hours in and there is game stopping bug where some NPC's joined me and now I cant leave or continue with the quest they are supposed to help me do. This game came out 9 years ago. And they cannot fix a game breaking bug they knew about. Setting a char limit on anywhere is such a dumbass idea for this reason. Why set your self up for a game breaking bug, I have saves like 10 horus ago, I aint going back. This game can lick my buns and if they think I am going to get expidition Samurai for anything but $2 15 years from now they are high on battle meade. This company really needs to get their buggy ass ♥♥♥♥ together, making Bethesda ass games look well tested. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!

The story is ok-ish, the battles are terribly balanced. On any other difficulty than easy, the enemies would have 3+ archers who one hit kill any members of your party, no matter the gear. armors and helmets literally dont protect against anything, the shield does but they lose HP once hit. On easy difficulty you can survive a hit from an archer and the second one will kill you. At this level you also can on hit kill most enemy, on higher difficulty you cannot and they kill you in the next turn. Almost all abilities are useless, healing and charge what you will use exlusively, and sometimes pulling the shields away ( as I said the shields do work)

Allez ça dégage. Ca doit être le premier jeu de ma vie où je ne peux même pas dépasser le prologue. Après une succession épuisante de combats je subis une attaque du village, il faut défendre tour à tour 2 axes. On se prend vague sur vague d'assaillants avec 5 pauvres péons en défense. Mon perso principal est "chasseresse", sensée être d'emblée une bête au tir à l'arc, y a 2 autres archers et 2 CAC. Aucun des 3 archers ne tire au but. AUCUN. JAMAIS. J'ai cherché dans tous les sens : me mettre près d'une source de lumière pour mieux voir ; balancer le sort de détection ; RIEN n'y fait. Je passe sur l'interface abominable. C'est dommage l'histoire m'a été vendue comme bien supérieure à l'opus suivant, ROME. Et bah je peux dire que passer de Rome à Vikings montre à quel point le gap technique, visuel et de gameplay entre les 2 est important. En attendant, pas même arriver à finir le prologue, ne JAMAIS réussir à toucher avec 3 archers (donc 3 persos inutiles), c'est une humiliation, je refuse de passer en mode normal ou facile ou changer de classe de personnage, donc, ça dégage. Une telle difficulté, dès le prologue, faut arrêter la drogue. Surtout que y a aucun problème de visibilité jour/nuit avec les archers de ROME, preuve que les devs ont compris que c'était un gamedesign de chie. Ah et bien sûr on ne peut pas se soigner non plus. Donc je disais : ça dégage. 10 balles à la poubelle, merci Nnayl >_<

This game is super fun and highly overlooked, if you enjoy Wasteland, DOS or any CRPG this game is for you! I ignored the negative reviews and it was the right call, lean into this game and you'll have a blast. There are guides for any issue you face while playing and it was worth every dollar I spent (got it on sale, but still I'd have payed full price) Can't wait to play Expeditions Rome next!
