Expeditions: Viking

Um dos jogos que mais gostei nos últimos anos. Um ótimo jogo para quem gosta de batalha em turno, upgrade de personagens, gerencia de equipe, mantimentos, tempo, etc.

Game launches to a black screen and nothing else. I have redownloaded it, verified the files, whitelisted it in my AV, everything the devs have said to do. Still nothing. I had this launch properly for a good long while before I stopped playing it a couple years ago. So the devs have left those of us afflicted with this problem with less than a paper weight. Round of applause everyone...

il gioco è bello, purtroppo ci sono scelte morali esecrabili. Comportarsi bene non paga mai e si è costretti sempre a fare qualcosa di sbagliato. Questa cosa non mi e' piaciuta.

Yet another game where I wish it wasn't thumbs up / thumbs down. Game overall is fun, but developers clearly went for trolling the player a few too many times for my liking (traps, traps everywhere, say goodbye to your hitpoints in despair). I'm assuming they chose to move on to another game and left multiple bugs in the game for players to enjoy. Some quests are also buggy, or almost impossible to do correctly without googling them, and even then some quests just... don't seem to work correctly (Tomb Raider being one that I just about tore my hair out trying to do). Overall 6/10, score brought down considerably by the obtuse nature of many of the quests and the bugs that still plague the game from dialogues not triggering to quest conditions seemingly unable to be met no matter what you bloodywell try and do. Thumbs up... just.

Just too janky and awkward. I really gave it a shot but it really just wasn't fun.

Expeditions: Viking ist ein richtig gutes Strategiespiel mit starken Rollenspielelementen. Die Grafik ist eher zweckmäßig als schön, erfüllt ihren Zweck aber gut. Der Sound ist stimmig und sorgt für echtes Wikinger-Flair. Besonders die Schauplätze, vor allem in Dänemark, wirken auf mich sehr passend, auch weil ich selbst dort lebe. Insgesamt ist es ein Spiel, das sich definitiv lohnt – genau wie schon der Vorgänger. Wer einen gelungenen Mix aus RPG, Strategie und Wikingergefühl sucht, sollte im Sale zugreifen. Klare Empfehlung.

Its a solid RPG similar to BG1 or 2 without random encounters. Keeps to the viking setting pretty well with exceptions for the purpose of making a fun game. Grab it on sale.
