Got the game. Opened it. It became tomorrow! If you have free time (or not) this is the perfect game for you. Super addictive. Oh boiiii, I have to go to work in a bit and I haven't slept!

Absolut empfehlenswert! Ich kann die negativen Kritiken (abgesehen von technischen Problemen, die ich aber nicht habe - sogar mein Thrustmaster Lenkrad kann ich einsetzen) nicht nachvollziehen. Expeditions ist ein wirklich tolles Spiel und es bringt erfrischende Neuerungen im Vergleich zu Snowrunner mit: Hier sind die Scouts (Shiba Dart!) und kleinen Trucks (mein Favorit: Unimog 2450L) im Fokus, die bei Snowrunner oft nur Beiwerk sind neben den vielen Offroad und Heavy Trucks. Durch zusätzliche Upgrades können diese ihre Stärke im Gelände ausspielen, wo die großen Trucks ständig stecken bleiben würden. Die Ladeflächen werden zwar nicht mit Fracht, dafür mit unterschiedlichstem Equipment bis hin zu mobilen Drohnen bestückt, die auch bei Notfällen im Gelände helfen können. Für die Expeditionen können Dachträger etc. individuell bestückt werden - je nach Gebiet und Einsatzbedarf mit Sprit, Ersatzteilen und Batterien. Das macht es deutlich flexibler, als die Standard-Upgrades bei Snowrunner mit ihren fix zugeordneten Inhalten. Da es keine Werkstätten oder Tankstellen gibt, ist es durchaus sinnvoll, den Inhalt für jedes Gebiet zu planen und es ist zum Teil anspruchsvoll, mit wenig Sprit und Ersatzteilen dennoch zum Ziel zu kommen. Das Reifen-Management macht auch die falsche Reifenwahl im Gelände erträglich, indem man auch bei Schlamm und Fels durch reduzierten Reifendruck noch vorwärts kommt. Wie oft war ich bei Snowrunner zu Spielbeginn frustriert, da die Anfangsreifen nicht für Schlamm geeignet sind und man teilweise gar nicht mehr vorwärts kommt. Die verfügbaren Gebiete sind unverbraucht (Arizona, Karpaten, Hohe Tatra, Höhlen!) und wunderschön gestaltet. Es macht tatsächlich viel Spaß, auch die letzten Winkel der Karten zu erkunden und versteckte Geheimnisse zu entdecken und die grandiose Aussicht von den hohen Gipfeln zu genießen. Arizona ist für mich von der Atmosphäre besonders toll und mutig, da es Mudrunner-untypisch wenig Schlamm-Stellen gibt, dafür aber viele steile Fels-Kletterpartien, die entsprechende Bereifung, Fahrwerk und Fels-Anker ihren Sinn verleihen. Der Wagenheber ist leider nicht so hilfreich, da er das Fahrzeug oft mehrere Meter über dem Boden zurücksetzt und es beim Sturz Schaden erleidet oder wieder umkippt. Dafür ist der Felshaken eine klasse Idee in Gebieten ohne Fixpunkte wie Bäume etc. Der Soundtrack ist Snowrunner-gewohnheitsmäßig richtig toll und man bleibt oft einfach stehen, um die abwechslungsreichen Tracks anzuhören. Die DLCs bringen einige interessante Neuerungen wie Drohnen, Multi-Abschleppseil oder transportable Brücken mit. Bis zum letzten DLC wirken die Inhalte frisch und ideenreich. Für mich ist Expeditions ein gelungenes Spin-off der Mudrunner-Serie, das zum Erkunden der riesigen Karten einlädt und dabei viele neue Ideen abseits von Snowrunner umsetzt. Schade, dass jetzt nach Year1 Schluss ist mit Updates. Ich würde weitere Seasons kaufen.

Great game when it works - so much fun. I put almost 100 hours into it. Unfortunately, the recent update has introduced a game-breaking bug that seems to be triggering for a lot of people on all platforms (PC, Switch, PS5, ...). When it hits, the game hangs on startup, there's no workaround except reinstalling and starting from scratch, losing all progress. I hope Saber will fix it soon in a way that allows people to keep their progress, but so far, none of the dozens of bug reports on the Focus website for that same bug has gotten any engagement from Focus or Saber. Until it's fixed, I cannot recommend the game. Update: the bug was fixed several weeks after I wrote the above, and the fix allowed me to keep my progress. It's an awesome game. Quite polished, too. Very much recommended.
If you liked mudrunner, particularly scouting in Mudrunner then that's basically this game. Less about towing wood and more about driving a 4wd around.
7 hrs into the game, have not fully experienced it, so far so good. But i think there is a performance issue where as the game constantly dips to 30-36 fps every 10-20 seconds and ftp drop significant when in first person view, like unstable around 30 fps? I am not sure why, never have this problem in snowrunner. it makes me quite frustrated. I am playing it on steamDeck, even when i limit my fps to 40 fps, it does the same.. i am going to leave this negative review until they fixed this issue. ============= edited 9/18/2025================== I am going to change it to recommend this game. I spent more time on this game this time. I think the first person view is still not smooth, but i am playing mostly on the third person view now. The graphic is actual pretty decent. Few things i notice that is better than snowrunner: 1. better vehicle modeling. I can feel the suspension of the bigger truck much better. 2. trucks actually feels heavier and a bit more realistic than the truck in snowrunner. 3. the off road experience is better. with better suspension modeling and tire grip on hard surface. Things i wish it can improve: 1. Simplify the game play experience. 2. Improve the first person view performance, it feels more immersive in this view. 3. minor UI improve. make it more intuitive.

не сразу распробовал игру, симулятор нивы 4х4))) сначала не понравилась, спустя примерно 1,5-2 часа начала немного нравится, вернул средства купил роадкрафт, как пройду роадкрафт приобрету экспедишн конечно же.
