About
You play as an engineer who has landed on a planet to work in a colony built by Exoplanet Industries. But instead of a developed settlement, only ruins remain.
DRIVE YOUR TRAIN. Upgrade it and build everything you need for your journey.
FIGHT TO SURVIVE. The planet's wildlife is extremely hostile to humans. How convenient that it is also a valuable source of food and resources!
EXPLORE the remains of the human colony in search of resources and answers.
MINE AND DEFEND ore veins. Mining noise attracts many creatures, so you'll need turrets to protect the mining drill.
GATHER RESOURCES TO CRAFT equipment, gear, and spacesuit modules.
PLAY SOLO OR CO-OP with friends!
🚂 A very promising Early Access!
I've really enjoyed my time with ExoTrain so far. The game has a unique identity by combining survival, crafting, automation and train management in a sci-fi world. It already has a solid foundation and a lot of potential.
🌌 Gameplay
The progression feels rewarding. Exploring new areas, gathering resources, unlocking technologies and upgrading the train always gives you a clear objective. The gameplay loop is satisfying and kept me engaged throughout my playtime.
🚆 Train & Base Building
Building and customizing the train is one of my favorite parts of the game. Unlocking modules and workstations makes every upgrade feel meaningful. It's a fresh concept that sets ExoTrain apart from other survival games.
🎨 Visuals & Atmosphere
The art style fits the game perfectly. The soundtrack and sound effects also do a great job of supporting exploration.
✅ Final Thoughts
If you enjoy survival, crafting, automation and progression, ExoTrain is definitely worth following. The game already feels fun and polished, and I'm excited to see how it evolves over the coming months. I definitely recommend it! 🚀
A lot better than i thought, the game is made by gamers. They combined a lot of mechanics to improve the gameplay of open world survival games. Played 90min here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZBhDhXuf098 So whats special? at first sight nothing but you have to mine resources and bugs will attack you, you have to research OR find technologies to make things easier. Like a hoverboard or a gun, then you move the train to a new location and you get new quests. The map is not autogenerated, its handcrafted at least for the first part. You also find a lot of ruins to help with materials, it has co-op and a level up system with usefull upgrades. For the price you will get a great indie game but you need to invest a few hours into it before it gets good.
