About
In Exipelago it's your turn to make your tribe into a bustling kingdom. Beside gathering food & shelter to support the colony they also want to make themself a known entity by building the greatest structures.
Exipelago is a sandbox village managment game, where everything you see is procedurally generated and customisable. Every tree you fell will give it's distinct type of wood, which can be processed into it's distinct type of plank to ultimately craft an item which has the optical style of the tree it was originally made out of. The same is true for every other ressource, like different types of rock and ore - both being found by digging down into the earth. And with the supplied editors you can even make your own things like trees, materials, plants & items
Featuring a true voxel experience - everything you see can be broken down, placed elsewhere or get transformed into something else in a dynamically reacting world. Different types of shapes also give you more freedom to just build your imagination and let your tribe use it.
Every procedurally generated island is different, brings new challenges for your tribe you have to care for and is fully destructible and dynamic in every detail - even trees and plants grow smoothly while time passes by
Procedurally - Every island is different and so is every tree and every plant
Dynamic World - Everything can either be digged, chopped, mined, picked up, collected, stockpiled or crafted into something else
Open Sandbox - Your tribe, your imagination. Survive and Thrive.
Managment - Crafting, Queuing, Transporting, Trading, Stockpiling
Villagers - The workforce of your village. They will need sleep, food, light and shelter
Editors - Create your own trees, plants, items and materials. Share your creations via Steam Workshop
Day/Night - Prepare for the darkness of the night and schedule villagers time
Underground - Dig big mines to gather lots of ressources like all sorts of stone
Time matters - Plants & Trees will grow in realtime. Plant enough so you have a steady supply of materials.
Materials - Whatever can be crafted will reassemble the ressource it was crafted with. As there are several types of trees, so is several types of logs, several types of planks and ultimately several types of furniture
More than blocks - Exipelago features several block shapes like ramps to make your creations stand out.
Creative Mode - In case you just want to build and nothing else - there is now a Creative Mode / Sandbox as well.

HONEST REVIEW: (and also tutorial) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3comRFkPeXo Now, if you don't have 1 hour and 19 minutes to watch a video, here is my honest thoughts about this game: First; i love games like this so maybe slightly biased to them, but hey you like what you like right? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Review- First thing you would notice is the lack of music or sound (which is actually quite relaxing to be honest). The Graphics are amazing for what it is... yes.. you read that correctly... The graphics are amazing for what it is, it was created by a single developer (of who i have no idea of their skills, but still) Game play: Plays a Lot like The Kindred, meets Gnomoria, meets Stonehearth, meets Dwarf Fortress. There are a few bugs and oversights and spelling errors (English is not the devs first language); The bugs are nothing game breaking - just little quirks here and there (example: the z-levels can be changed by the number keys, but it is intended to be *CTRL+Number* but it isn't - and with the number keys close to the main camera movement (w/a/s/d) it's easy to press one by mistake especially on a laptop... stockpiles and workshops priorities are not fully in effect yet (i would need a bed... or food... or want the stockpile filled before anything else... i lower the priority on everything else and it still prioritises the plank making over the bread cooking or the stockpiling...) For what it is, and the little quirks and what we have currently, it is worth a shot? HELL YES!; is it expensive for what it is(?) yes and no... for the content we do not have *yet*... *maybe* (the dev and I have discussed this, and he agrees that it might be slightly a bit expensive, but as i say in a moment, the price is understandable... especially in the world how it is today)... for the content and fixes that are planned... that it is by a single dev who needs money to live? it is *reasonable* I am glad to be a part of this journey and to give my input throughout. I really hope this game does well. ------------------------------------ In Closing, after looking at the other games by this developer (i expected to be corrected if i am wrong) the others ebfore this (which i have not had a chance to play yet) all look like passion projects mainly... or if you could call 2.5D miner games a prequel to this, i don't think that I... or you would be wrong to be honest, i think the developer may have used those games as starting blocks to understand what he could do with engines and game creations, and here we have a very nicely done (with bugs and all) game which tries to be various games on the genre rolled into one, which it seems to pull off to varying extents. Buy this amazing hidden gem what are you waiting for! Thank you Reiti.net

If you have 15 minutes to complete a game this is it. In this game's current state you can do everything there is to do in about 15 minutes. The concept is great, the graphics are pretty nice. I hope it goes a lot further. At the moment this game is a bit to pricey for 15 minutes.
This is awesome, I wasn't really sure, but yeah this is really really cool, My type for sure! and I really love EA uploads :-) I now have new craft :-)
Great potential but not enough content for a release
Fun little village building game. Developer is active as well.
For sandbox city-builder type of game i actually pref to play this. You can make game as easy (or as hard) as you want to. It have very chill vibe as you go and i usually can't turn it on for less than couple hours in a go. Game is still visibly under development so don't expect huge number of features. In this one you're your own content creator and only limit is your own creativity. what i really liked: - water physics; you can do wonders with water and how it work, from waterfall over pools to aqueducts - size of map; you can dig for a very long time down without reaching end,you can build up for very long time before reaching end. surface is where you make it if you wanna detail everything. it allow vertical cities and huge amounts of different gameplay - you can micromanage all if you feel like it, or you could set up foundation and just let it run with adding more workers...depending what you really want to do Game still need more block shapes, it need more citizens options (zones, specializations or something similar) and more camera freedom. If you enjoy sandbox builders you will have fun in it. If you're looking for complex city builder with lot depth - it's still not there. Definitely lot of potential and lot of fun as is.
Looks like abandonware. Not ready.... :( but.... Could be really good!! Keep working...
I'm recommending it not for what it is, but for what I believe it can be, specially for how willing the dev is to hearing people's opinion about it.
I enjoy playing this game. It's a building game and totally scratches that itch. I enjoy that it's peaceful; I hope that doesn't change (or at least it's an optional thing).
