I'd like to thank SsethTzeentach for the obvious review on the game, he is the reason I found out about this game and became dare I say a fan of AliceSoft, despite the questionable quality in the games. Speaking of, this is somehow worth every penny of it's $45 price tag and honestly regret buying it on sale, which I can not recall the last time I felt something like that, and is why I bought a physical copy of this game on MangaGamer. The gameplay is like a normal JRPG, and the story might just be basic. By no means does that make this bad, playing it is quite fun! Though turns tedious later on for collecting reasons, and the story knows exactly every note to hit. The music itself is pretty good! It's something I return to a few times a year, and I liked it so much I even bought a CD of the OST. The scenes as well, ignoring a certain one at the end of the game, are something I didn't think I'd enjoy at first, but by the Lord are they good.

Game runs great on the Steam Deck. Just need some initial set-up; When you first load the game, at the title screen, tap the CONFIG menu on the touch screen, go to the WINDOW tab, use the touch screen or touch pad to check the Use Compatibility Mode box at the very bottom of the list. The game should now run perfectly fine. The Deck seems to automatically configure itself to WASD + Mouse controls, using left joystick as WASD and right touchpad as Mouse pointer with touchpad press configured as the Left Mouse Click. Top right Deck button opens the Menu. Game also seems automatically configured to use the screen as a touch screen, so you have two ways of controlling the game. Game saves the configuration changes so should only have to configure it once, notwithstanding any control key binds you might want reconfigure via the controller icon on the Deck's game page screen. Another thing I've noticed is that the game is very battery efficient. Initially ran the game for nearly 90 minutes and battery was still at 80%.

This comes with a lot of caveats. I'll be honest: I didn't finish it. I got through most of the game with somewhere around 2~ acts left. There's... a lot to talk about. [list] [*]First of all this is from the makers of Rance. If you're familiar with that name at all... you should know what you're in for. [*]I'm a big fan of the art style and character designs. They do voluptuous characters really well and sell you on the game fast with your first wife Ramius. [*]Let's somewhat cover the story: if you have sex with someone the goddess marries you two by binding a golden ring to your fingers. Should you have sex with additional partners, and not be a certain level of knight: this usually means infidelity and you are branded with a black band making you an outlaw. This means you can never gain experience or craft, like raising animals, carpentry, etc. You essentially have to now steal for the rest of your life and you're ostracized immediately from civilized society and pushed into dregs. This is the story of your horny, somewhat boarish, yet also sometimes heartwarming main character who ascends knighthood so he can have many wives without pissing the goddess off and accomplish his main goal of banging his twin sisters. [*]Here's where your mileage will vary: some character designs are... questionable. Namely the gal monsters you can catch and especially some of your wives. This is also where I'll again remind you this is from the Rance people because this game is chock full of obscene scenarios. Sometimes this makes the writing rather amusing and real, but other times, like way too often, this steers into the direction of forced sexual assault. There's even a rather disturbing video recording your party listens to of a monster having his way with a kidnapped ship passenger for the umpteenth time and decides to, graphically, eat her after the last time. The writers take quite the time to describe her death and bones breaking. [*]Now if you got through all that I'll tell you another big reason I just couldn't get through the game: it is EXCEEDINGLY wordy. To their credit: the main scenarios are almost entirety voice acted and that is a LOT of dialogue, but the problem is that there is just an absolute glut of dialogue. Like so much that I'd say this game not having a tag for *Visual Novel* is misleading. At one point I was spamming through dialogue just to get the gist of the conversation so I could move on and 8 hours later I had to call it quits. [*]To their credit: this is one of the few porn games that is an actual video game. That's one of the main appeals. The combat is nice enough, the leveling is good, and acquiring equipment feels rewarding. Unfortunately you start to need a LOT of gold and that leads to grinding, the bad version of grinding than what you're definitely here for. [*]Unfortunately this game has a sincere lack of keyboard shortcuts and PC options. The most you get is a singular option to speed up gameplay and maybe 1-2 keyboard shortcuts. [/list] It's a real mixed bag and after you understand what is in here: you might better understand why only the sequel's demo was allowed on Steam while the full sequel is sequestered to its publisher's site for purchase. Quite frankly given some of the content and character designs: I'm shocked this game is still up on Steam. If you need a better idea of some of the pitfalls: just venture through the community tab you'll understand pretty fast.

Short: If you like shallow "Ecchi" anime this is for you. If you want any substance, it is not. Long: I bought this game because of the reviews raving about an actually decent "RPG" story. The character development. The gameplay. The H-Scene variety. Well the combat is ok the rest is terrible. To start of with, this is not an RPG. At all. This is a linear story that you follow place to place. After 9 hours I've been given two dialogues with a choice. Each only had two options. The first only has one correct answer to progress and the other I either made the right choice or its inconsequential. The story is childish which clashes with the adult elements. You have Rape then "No one was killed because the evacuated in time! Good thing that happens every time! Hurray!" The plot itself is painfully weak. Bad guys are doing bad things. Go over here to stop them! Ok, now go over here to stop them! Why are they doing this? Because they are bad! And I find myself sympathizing with the bad guys more than the good guys. Mother Eve forces horrifically flawed rules on the world that damn even good men and women. Defend yourself and kill the enemy? Damned. Get raped? Damned. The characters are unimaginative boiler plate Ecchi. "Boobies" is the entirety of the main characters personality. No depth. No choices. You are "Boobies." The wives are not optional and forced into your harem... again based off of the linear story. They each are, like I said, generic. You meet them and, after the first dialogue, their personalities are set and do not change. H-scenes? Text and if they are being generous two static images rather than one. Combat is turned based with different enemies having different weaknesses. Your party is made up of characters with specialties and gear progression drops are upgraded versions of what you are wearing not area drops. Its alright. Now quests. FFS, really? No quest tracker? I mean come on. I'll update as I play. I already bought it so I might as well see it through.

just finished the game. took 62 hours. and it just might be my favorite jrpg of all time now. I wish there were more games like this. I loved the characters, and it's sad knowing ill never see them again... 10/10 masterpiece also, shame on steam for not allowing Evenicle 2. Now i have to go elsewhere to play it. Shoutout to the devs, thanks for making this gem.

Особисто мені сподобалося. Це класний гаремнік, який намагається створити адекватну JRPG-історію на концепті поліаморного браку — і це загалом виходить. Персонажі класні, та їх діалоги цікаво читати. Візуальний стиль дуже класний, музика весела та залипательна, дуже велике різноманіття сцен. При цьому бойова система виявляється значно прикольніше, аніж здається на перший погляд. Шуткуючи, я казав, що ця гра мені подобається більше за ігри серії Dragon Quest, саме геймплейно. У цієї гри, загалом, лише один мінус — філерний сюжет, який має структуру стандартних shonen-арок фентезі-аніме. З типовими кліше та шаблонами. Попри те, що за персонажами цікаво слідкувати, вони очікувано пласкі та архетипові — це може бути для когось мінусом. Пройшов я тільки половину, через певну причину довелося відкласти її, а зараз вже забув майже все. Але дозу позитивного настрою я отримав. Загалом можу рекомендувати усім фанатам JRPG, поліаморної еротики та анімешних штампів — якщо вам хочеться просто чілову, добротну гру. Але якщо ви суто по гемам та іграм "в які має пограти обов'язково кожен" — то можна загалом і пропустити.

Very educational. I love the soundtrack, and also I love Kathryn, she keeps me sane while I was playing the game.
