For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.

Here is actually the classic Game of Life cellular automaton implemented in magitech.

In Planet Centauri you won't be bothered by mandatory tutorials, linear progression or any forced main quest.
Explore anything in the order you want, as long as you are able to survive.
Be guided by the completion tree or the tutorial pages to explore all possibilities offered to you.

The world is filled by ancient ruins. On most of them, special challenges await you.

Discover unexplored dungeons full of traps. Maybe something unique and incredible will be found there.

With over 500 different type of blocks and decorative items, let your imagination run wild to build detailed or imposing structures.

When a block is shaped, It is possible to combine it with another one.
By combining double blocks and paint, possibilities are endless.

In creative mode you have access to developer tools, commands, terraformation, infinite items...
Planet Centauri has a complex event system allowing you to create traps, spawn enemies and create complex mini games without coding.
Currently, more than 20 different type of events and triggers exists.
Event are like functions and perform a specific action. Triggers can emit different type of signals, and be connected to any other Event/Trigger:
Zone triggers: Coming / Leave / ViewEnter / ViewLeave / ComingZone / LeaveZone
Combat triggers: Spawn / KillMonsters / PlayerGetDamages / Challenge / Open
Misc triggers: Counter / Switch / Chrono / ChronoLocal / PreciseTimer / Dice / HourChanged
Event dispatching triggers: Hub / HubFilter / Dispatch / TimedDispatch
BlockPattern to detect shaped structures (useful to make puzzles)
DropItemsSouls
CreateBlocks / DestroyBlocks / CreateDecorations / DestroyDecorations / Indestructible
SpawnRope / SpawnTree / SpawnBall / SpawnLava
Unlock / GenerateItems / ObjectAttributes / TriggerAttribute / AddAttributes / DisableLight
SetPortal / WorldLocation
SpawnOverride to modify permanently (or not) the world spawn tables

Steam workshop is not supported, but the game can be extensively modified.
Any item in the game can be edited through text based configuration files in the PlanetCentauri/assets/moddable folder.
You can add blocks, decorations, or any visual element without knowing a programming language.
For more complex systems, like monsters or entities, the Lua programming language is used (like in Factorio, Hades, Don't Starve, Roblox, and a lot of games).
The current limitation is the lack of a mod manager. This leads to potential problems and collisions between entries, and you have to distribute your mods manually.

Bro what are you even doing, just play Terraria again, there's a reason every clone fails. If you're extremely desperate, play a little Starbound
I have owned this game since forever ago and seen lots of updates roll through over the years. The most interesting part of this game in my opinion is and always has been, the ability to capture the monsters that spawn in the world and use them to help you fight. Also, the ability to transform into them, if you take it one step further. Back, years ago. It didn't feel too painful to accomplish this. But gradually, over time. It has become harder and harder to achieve. Seemingly as if the dev thinks that making it harder makes it more desirable to achieve. But playing it again, now that it looks like it might have recieved its' final update. I am utterly disappointed. I spent several hours mining and quit the game because I got barely anywhere and it felt so monotonous. The terrain has many shapes, which honestly looks pretty cool. But it also makes it so you need to mine out so many tiny elevations to get anywhere. And the more you have to deal with it. The more annoying it gets. it takes so fcking long to mine the blocks. If you have coal or some kind of mineral to find, it is usually exciting in these kinds of games. But in this one; mining the mineral doesnt remove the block. Which makes the already long time it takes to mine to get anywhere, take even longer. I found myself actively avoiding ore, even thought it might be useful later. Because I wanted to get to the monster taming part. I wanted to get amethyst to get my monster journey started. But. The rate of which Amethyst spawns appears to be lower than it used to be. Also. Since many updates ago. I have not had it drop from enemies, like I initially saw, back years and years ago. Amethyst is what you need to make a table to make capture gems. You also need a bunch of amethyst to make the gems themselves. You need multiple tier 1 gems to make tier 2 gems. Do you see where I'm going with this? The game gets boring and tedious before you even get to the good part. The part that the game that in my opinion, should be focused on. The part that sets this game appart from other games in the same genre, like Terraria. The game is honestly boring now. Which is ultimately disappointing. Because I used to get excited to play this each day. But that will likely never be the case again.

(ง ͠ ᵒ̌ Дᵒ̌ )▬▬ι═══════ﺤ Just buy terraria at this point This could have been a great game, unfortunately it´s a mess, and I am very sorry to say that. The game has a terrible identity crisis. showing different mechanics mashed into a not quite clear plaster: - Pokemon mechanics: capture different monsters with different rarities - Classic RPG mechanics: item rarity that can be upgraded - Minecraft mechanics: XP gained by killing monsters as experience orbs - Terraria mechanics: the inspiration of the game - Your engineering bachelors first week mechanics: pulleys, binary code, cogs and wheels (weird if your into that stuff) - Star dew valley mechanics: farming an infinite variety of crops, plant trees, taking care of cattle, etc. Everything sounds really nice, but at the end all of them, feel unpolished or without purpose Now some important aspects: - Unfinished game, with many items even unnamed, without description or use - Dev doesn´t care anymore, abandoned the game - Excruciating gigantic world (aprox 1000 linear cubes to reach the hell biome - 10 minutes of pressing the mouse) - Crahes and Bugs, a lot of bugs, ♥♥♥♥ so many that even Timon and Pumba would be shouting in ectasis - You have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea what are you doing, how things work, or what is even the objective, there is an empty wiki somewhere drifting on the internet but not even the community cares. Yes, it comes with a bible of instructions that are not very clear (♥♥♥♥ stuck in the washing machine once) Anyway that all, have fun ( ^_^)/
10 years development and it’s just a poor and very bad Terraria clone. The movement is just so weird and practilly no use for them and after all the time i played i didnt needed to use any of them becouse weapons doing more demage than any of that. The mob spawn rate is a joke monsters are everywhere, and they spawn so fast that getting through any biome without dying is nearly impossible, without constantly using healing potions. You often get cornered or stuck between monsters leading to constant insta deaths. There’s a small tutorial but, half of the mechanics have no explations at all, forcing you to constantly alt-tab to a Wiki or use YouTube, just to understand basic mechanics and features in game. Mostly you cant even find it on Wiki becouse its simply not there or it doesnt exist. this game should give me a degree in electrician, and mechanics, how unnecessarily difficult is it, example: magitech. Even after a decade, it feels like an unfinished, unbalanced mess that keep randomly crashing for no reason. Don't waste your time on this one and get something better its waste of time and it has no story.
The special features, like creating your own spells and using monster capture gems, aren't possible to really play with without endless hours of mining for resources, the same grinding that you've seen in every other 2D mining and crafting game. By the time you've found enough resources to meaningfully try anything interesting, you'll already have explored everything worth seeing. And you'll wish everything required half as many resources as it does. Also, as others have pointed out, there's a partial absence of Quality of Life features and partial absence of information and a definite presence of glitches. (You can't split a stack of items in half, so feeding my chickens requires a hundred clicks to distribute their food! Mana regeneration is unbelievably slow, despite magic being a big focus, so that's more disincentive to experiment! What on Earth is going on with weapon upgrades and item scarcities!) Those all add friction, but are forgivable on their own. It's a wiki game, but there's not enough of a community for an adequate wiki to exist. It might be more fun for you if you have a huge appetite for this kind of game. It has bad ideas, but only a few. It has good ideas, but only a few. Maybe I missed something, or failed to find the intended entry point to engage with the systems just right, but 15 hours of Waiting For The Good Part To Begin is my limit.
A fantastic game, but It's such a shame that Valve screwed the pooch and messed up the release. I sincerely hope the developers find the incentive to continue working on this game - I've been looking forward to both the release and the following content updates for years now. 10/10 would recommend.
Abandoned.
Pontos positivos. Pontos Negativos/A melhorar.
Starbound done right A fair alternative to Terraria for those leaning more towards adventure and exploration
I spent a few days on this, going in blind to something that looked promising and hopefully refreshing, only to realize I was waiting to for the fun to begin that whole time. This felt underbaked; the skeleton of something awesome is here, but omfg it is torture in it's current state. -Crafting: UI for literally every menu is clunky and fighting your inventory for screen real-estate. I truly believe there needed to be a tutorial to demo how I should even engage with all the menus to play as intended, the design felt that hostile. Infinite character inventory space feels surprisingly cumbersome and labyrinthine given the sheer quantity of unique, yet unutilized, items that are acquired in the due course of all your activities. I found that the pervasive menu-jank made me avoid entering crafting menus as much as possible. -Farming and cooking: every meal you can make requires like a million different ingredients. It takes eons to get a farm set up / discover useful ingredients -> these are usually fun adventures in any other game, but both prepping the literal dirt and finding foods is/feels completely random and irrespective of the effort you put in. The benefits of meals you manage to craft are extremely underwhelming and lackluster. Harvesting and replanting never becomes less of a chore (I really wish I stopped engaging with this loop sooner) -mining: it's so, so painfully slow + the first armor set increases mining speed to a "tolerable" degree -> further ruining the activity as you try to progress through armor sets and realize you NEED the speed boost to make this agony last as little as possible. This activity is eventually, suddenly, completely obviated by magic (I did not have the patience to get to that point) -Combat? you start with essentially your full move set for melee: the animations feel super cool, but rarely do the attacks perform as demonstrated. The character skills barely offer actual utility and are absolutely overshadowed by your basic attack. Armor specific skills actually offer great utility and are fun to use! It's just too bad you need to swap armor constantly -> very tedious to do as well. ++++++++++++ This was the straw the broke the camel's back ++++++++++++ The magic spells initially looked awesome; I was most excited to learn how spell creation actually worked in this game and mess around with making crazy stuff. That appeared like a solid part of the combat for this game (maybe not a main focus of this sort of game, but like something that was going to make the experience very interesting and spice things up) > Quickly found the crafting UI to be inscrutable more so than anything else I encountered; online resources barely aided this, but it's more the fault of how complex + unintuitive the system is > On top of that there's basically no progression as far as what spells you have access to working with. Save for a few types that are locked behind bosses, you can immediately work with all options, and there is very little variety > The real progression is simply making spells that launch an additional / beefier projectile. I think that is what endgame content for basically any other similar game boils down to, but that's the entry point for magic here > at least from what all I could tolerate playing through, damage type match ups with monsters were rarely important at best; therefore, there are very clear studs and duds among those options >>> ON TOP OF THAT, at least early on, it is prohibitively resource intensive. The game already does not respect your time gathering other resources, and the resources for crafting spells are purely RNG based drops If I could have started off the game being able to play with spells and warm up to this system, I think it would have been tolerable. But up to the point where spells could even have begun to be crafted and utilized, it feels like a waste of time to even consider transitioning away from melee or mixing spells into combat for their utility, i.e. range (and nothing else)
