The game feels a bit short and the individual routes a little bit repetitive, but that's due to the games premise, so it's kinda fine I guess For some reason Reine and Miku's audio quality is horrible. There is no way such a blunder could slip quality control... Ren is an absolute enrichment to the universe. I love her personality and would love to see her in the anime as well. As for the extra content of the deluxe edition, I think it's worth alone for the two audio dramas with Natsumi. She was very underrepresented in the past, so I am glad she got some attention

Serving as the fourth installment and a direct successor to the trilogy of Rinne Utopia, Arusu Install and Rio Reincarnation, this title stays true to the series' essence, delivering a level of quality that I found deeply satisfying. The game boasts several refined upgrades, from enhanced visual fidelity and fluid animations that breathe life into every scene, to the redesigned character models for the main heroines. The new soundtrack is equally impressive, perfectly capturing the somber, haunting atmosphere of a dystopia. For long-time fans, the inclusion of numerous Easter eggs from the previous games and the movie feels like a poignant tribute to the franchise’s legacy. Ren, the newest addition to the cast, is a standout character; her narrative arc and personality are so compelling that reaching the final milestone of unlocking every ending felt like a truly rewarding endeavor. However, the game is not without its flaws-or perhaps more accurately, certain compromises that suggest a rushed production. The once-rich daily interactions with the heroines have been scaled back significantly, now spanning only a single day. Beyond Ren’s specific path, the individual routes suffer from a lack of variety, with romantic development feeling somewhat neglected in favor of casual dates that serve primarily as a vehicle for Ren’s lore. Furthermore, the game assumes a high level of prior knowledge, offering little guidance for those who haven't delved into the light novels or the anime; many pivotal plot twists are merely summarized in the in-game library. The choice system also proves to be more of a cryptic challenge than a logical mechanic, often leaving the player to rely on trial and error without any intuitive hints. Despite these grievances, I am genuinely glad to see the Date A Live visual novel saga continue. It remains a journey I hold dear, filled with cherished memories and a lasting affection for this world.
