I like this game because it is simple and fun, so far no min maxing or having to look for guides or info to complete stuff!!!!!
玩的很爽,但是我死活找不到隐藏人物,还有希望出中文
Having beaten the game I can absolutely recommend this even at normal price. The story, while somewhat hard to follow at the beginning, is overall well written, though I have some questions about some aspects; the gameplay too is rock solid and given how responsive the dev(s) are, it is continuing to improve. Under proton it has… questionable operability. It launches and can do most everything just fine but with changes to crit graphics it's best to just skip combat in its entirety.
I love this game and can't recommend it enough all the units have good utility or seem useful with only a bit of investment, it is currently my favorit Srpg on steam by a landslide the stroy is good i would love to see more in a future update or sequal the characters are fun. the games ressource management is great, i could feel if i miss used my gold and had to be a bit careful with my powerful weapons, all hail Marie and her gold generation! the deficulty is reasonable except in random( but that is what makes it fun), i did only play on the hardest deficulty, so i can't say to much about normal mode so if you like Fire emblem i would recommend this game i do have some nitpicks I think a short cut or mention in bonds description of the relationships tab in the extras menu would be great I found it to late to build more then a very few bond(this games version of supports if you like fire emblem) on first playthough because I tryed building bonds between characters that didn't have em And the autoscrolling credits are to fast for my dyslexic behind lastly i would like to Thank the developer whenever i asked about information in discussions they where quick to answer, and i look forward to the next update
Nice srpg. Not the best I'd ever seen, but one of the better games, for sure.
Mechanically, this game was Fire Emblem+. There were a lot of stat boosting staffs, or stat lowering ones. You could increase your move, your def, lower enemy speed, different staffs to stop magic from casting or prevent physical attacks. There were staffs that did AOE damage, transformed a square into a forest or mountain tile, or turned it into an impassable hole. I especially liked the concept of the staff that blows up everyone within three squares of the caster. On top of this, the skills were sometimes more interesting. Like, there was the basic lategame skill of vantage, or galeforce, but there were weird ones like +3 speed only on enemy phase, become untargetable while on a forest or don’t suffer move penalties on forests, can’t get doubled. Bows were awesome in this. They had native 2-3 range with longbows going to 4, which gave them crazy utility, especially against mages. Their damage was solid, and later you get a unique bow that heals on hit. Big thumbs up. Gameplay wise also pretty good. There was variety on map goals- escape, rout, kill the boss, some had timed objectives, some split your forces into two completely different arenas, and generally the design was solid, with some boxes, and with some real standouts. I've played a lot of FE games, and think I'd rather replay this one before many of the others. It's not a perfect game to be fair, I think there are some writing choices that I don't quite agree with, but it is still enjoyable to play through, and it touches on different fantasy ideas and tropes in some less conventional ways.
I worked on the game, so take it with a grain of salt (and ignore my playtime lol). I think this game is really well done. The writing is great, and the amount of options for interactions gives the game a lot of replay value as well. I honestly think this is worth your time to try out, even if SRPGs aren't your thing (they certainly aren't mine).
Excellent game. I wasn't convinced on the artwork, but the story and characters sucked me in. The writing is quite good, with some great moments. There is a real sense of depth to the world and characters, and I was quite satisfied with the entire experience. It's better than many Fire Emblem games, and that's about the highest praise I can give it.
Well, this is my first review ever, and I must say that this games really made want to write about it, as to where star, wel... I will just say what I think a let people have their own conclusions: Starting with everything I count as pros: - This is the first SRPG of this kind I have played (SRPG Maker Engine), it has made me want more of them, I find its gameplay really engaging as well as pretty fun, I wouldn't call it story a masterpiece but is is pretty interesting. - I have only played in Hard Mode, at first I feared it to be too easy o too hard, but it just do it right pretty tight at the start and leaning to be more easier torwards the end thanks to all the fun tools the player is given. - In regards to the playable units, they are varied enough to either fill their on niches or be your more standard ones (aka the fast myrm, the tanky knight, etc)
Be prepared you recive a lot of magical units
. The really cons I can say about the game: - Some secrets or way to get them are poorly explained o there is really not way to know how to unlock them. - Because how "recent" is the game and what I think is a rather small community, there aren't any type of guides in how the game works o how to get secrets o special conditions (you can get some if you are "curious" enough), but this is mitigated thanks to all the discussion where the developer answers to the community questions and helps to bring light to the rather tricky secrets of the game. - It may not be very Ironman friendly so keep that in mind (Saving mid battle can help a lot). Now as a sort of conclusion: Esperia ~ Uprising of the Scarlet Witch ~, is a game that anyone that likes SRPG can easily like and enjoy and thanks to the easier difficulties, any that wants to start playing this type of games can have a very good experience and can hook him into SRPGs easily (if you like strategy of some sort that is it).
Very fun SPRG. I've finished it twice (on different difficulties). The gameplay is very difficult, but you are able to save mid-fight and you'll definitely have to do that if you're playing the game blind. There's lots of different buffs and debuffs that you'll have to use on the hardest difficulty. There's also decent flexibility in how you develop your characters and if you do that well the second half is more manageable. I think the plot is decent, but there's too much text and monologues for my taste. To be fair, the game is marketed as a visual novel though. Skipping the story is very easy, I did that on my second playthrough.
