I've only played PVE mode so please pass on by if you're interested in the PVP aspects of this game from my perspective because I've only played Arena a few times so far and that was actually pretty fun. I'm an old man at heart and enjoy things like inventory management and base building while searching for materials to craft items and other things so that aspect of this game is an A+ for me. I honestly don't believe there are many games that I've played that get your heart pumping like Tarkov. When you're solo in the raid against aimbots that can dome you from halfway across the map or drop 4 bullets to your torso if you hold a line for even a second too long it forces you to reposition and come at it from a different angle. It's been a good learning experience and definitely more challenging than most other FPS I've played in the past. Be ready to die no matter whether you play PVE or PVP, it's going to happen. It's like Dark Souls in all honesty for PVE. Once you learn AI patterns things become significantly easier as both a PMC and Scav. I'm sure that's impossible on PVP due to the different skill levels, unpredictability and...those who are cheating their butts off. It runs pretty well on the setup I have which is mostly Corsair parts, a 7800X3D and a 4070 Super. I can get 141 fps at 2K res most of the time but it does about half that in heavy firefights. It does desync from the servers every once and a while when I'm in the stash which usually rolls back what I did for the past couple of minutes but it has not done this for me in a raid. Overall the performance is good and being able to do the postfx settings in the menu allows for a possible solution to any lighting issues in my opinion I had at the beginning. It was really, really dark even on 100%, had to shift the brightness directly in the Nvidia app to 1.2x as well as using the feather setting. I'm about halfway into most of the main quests and have completed Tour and run Labs but it feels like there's still so much to do even after 351 hours. Definitely worth the price when it's on sale and I can definitely see why people do 1K+ hours to try and get everything done. Love marked rooms by the way and how they're hidden in the middle of nowhere on some maps and that loot.
