Erwin’s Timewrap: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your name is Erwin, you are a lovely dog and your master is Dr. Zachory who invented a time machine. Unfortunately for you, Dr.Zachory accidentally sent you back to 1984 with his invention. All you can say is, it will be a dog of a day to come back to the present. Erwin’s Timewrap is an adventure/puzzle game set in a 3D isometric world. You control Erwin, a very cute dog who walks on two legs and needs to find several items to be able to resolve puzzles. All usable items and characters with whom you can talk will be circled in red upon approaching them. You will meet an alien whose name is Herbert (it is an alien type of name in its own right) an old friend of yours who was sent by your dear master to help you retrieve several parts of the time machine. This game is really in its infancy and it shows good potential. The graphics are nicely done and the controls are easy to use. If you are like me, you will appreciate the trading cards availabilities but there are no achievements at this stage. I will not score this game due to the simple fact that we need more content, but they are on the right track. Support Erwin’s Timewrap so he can find his way back to the present. Erwin’s Timewarp is an adventure game. You play as the pet dog of some scientist who built a time machine and sent you to the past, and you’re tasked with finding various pieces of this machine in order to return to the present. Starting the game you’re able to put it in various resolutions of window mode, and you can also choose to play at full screen; this is something I usually really appreciate as I don’t always like to play certain games in full screen. However, there’s little else in the form of proper menu and options. The only sounds to be found in the game at its current stage were also only in this menu, and unfortunately, the music was completely awful to me. I could not click out of the menu fast enough. Visually the game is kind of cartoony. It’s relatively good looking and the textures are nice, as well as the details on the areas; for an indie unity game in 3D/top-down/isometric view it ran surprisingly well on my computer, so kudos to the dev for that accomplishment. I usually have a lot of optimization issues with indie games on unity. As I mentioned before, there’s little in the way of sounds or music outside the menu, and that is almost a blessing considering my dislike for the meny music. You’re also tossed into the game with little in the form of tutorial, explanation, or back story. In fact you’re only told a couple times about what’s going on and what you’re supposed to do and find. If you didn’t read the description on the steam page, you’d have no idea what you’re supposed to do until you encounter that alien – which btw, I’m still wondering why there’s an alien there. The puzzles are fairly easy to follow on what you need to get in order to do what, but the way of interacting with things is a bit uncomfortable. Sometimes objects will highlight but not pop up hints, the icons offered as menu aren’t clear on what they do until you click them and find out, and they won’t appear until you’re in some particular range and angle from the item. Still, the rest of the controls (mostly movement wise) are fairly good despite this. What makes the game a bit harder is that you have to spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out what to do at the start, and you CAN die (and you can save, too, so be sure to save): some characters will hurt you, and you must also keep yourself fed through the game, which I guess is an interesting twist for an adventure/puzzle game, but frankly I’m still unsure if it works. The character animations for the dog and companions are fairly good, but the human animations leave much to be desired. There were also some bugs in which, for instance, you’d get stuck against certain things. All in all it seems like an ok game, and I can see some potential in it which is why I would recommend to keep a watch on it if it sounds interesting; but it really needs a proper introduction and a brief tutorial. I understand Early Access is expected to not be completely functional, but there’s “we’re still testing out things” and then there’s “this shouldn’t really be open for sale and/or the public as a whole yet”. If you like adventure games and want to support the dev, I’d recommend it, it’s an ok game with what it has so far. I can see potential in it, but currently it’s not something I’d recommend to just about everyone. I'll keep a watch and might change my rating once the game is further fleshed out. Overall: 4/10 * Key provided by the developer Follow Completing the Backlog's Curator page for more reviews.
Erwin's Timewarp is about a dog that gets transported back into time by accident, and must find time machine parts in order to go back to the present. After the main menu, you're thrown into the game's world with no explanation whatsoever. No cutscene, or text box. It's a bit disorienting, and I found myself quite lost, although after fidgeting around for a few minutes you figure out what you're meant to do. You can interact with objects if you get close enough. Although this interaction isn't very reliable. Sometimes you need to get the correct angle and distance, and will need to twitch around until you get it right. Once you've found the position, a small menu pops up with a few interaction options. These all do nothing to really explain what exactly they do. Trial and error is the only way to find out. After putting an object in your inventory, you'll most likely need to use it later on by interacting with something or someone. Most of the game consist of walking around relatively similar looking areas, with little variety in gameplay. The graphics are decent. I like the slight mix between realistic and cartoony styled characters. They have goofy proportions, while their textures are decently realistic. The absence of sounds and music in-game is a bit annoying. It adds to the generally unfinished feel of the game. Overall, I felt like the game got stale pretty quickly. The lack of tutorial or help hurts your inital impression of the game, and after you figure it all out, there's little content to keep you gripped. I hope this improves in the future, considering it's in Early Access. However, I can't recommend it in its current state.
You get to be a dog that somehow triggered a time machine and has to solve puzzles to get back to the right year. Puzzles range from turning water on to get a guard away from a door to finding a bomb to blow up a pile of rocks. It's a lot of finding objects to help you get to other objects. Has some serious potential imo. It's on Unity so it will run on pretty much any rig. Right now it is the 1984 level, but Medieval Ages and other levels are in development. Definitely worth keeping an eye on or grabbing if you like puzzle games and/or just want to be a dog time travelling.
Cops and crowbars don't mix well btw :)
Here is some gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8G9jciM_sE

He has invented a time machine with that Erwin was transferred to the time 1984 by accident. It has to find parts of a time machine if he wants to return to present time. The game has made using Unity engine. The dog moves across an 3D isometric world that looks like so well texturized and detailed. You move your character using arrows and interacting with the enviroment and all objects that you need to solve puzzles, using mouse. You can pick or use these objects depending the situation. When you select an item, a menu is displayed on the objects and shows you which actions you could do with it. There are two bars on the left corner of the screen that represent: life and food. You need to eat during the game, finding some food bowls around and avoid some people that hurts you too. Yes, you can die, so in this case, you must load a previous savegame. There is no music and there are very poor sounds in game. The game has achivements and trading cards. You could give it an opportunity if you like adventures but you couldn't if you're looking for an old school one. A fan of Monkey Island 2 PD: Thanks to Shade00
Erwin's Timewarp is a charming puzzle game where you play as a dog who has gone back in time. The game is currently in Early Access and right now you can play in 1984. You roam around collecting items which will help you solve puzzles. One example is having to lure a police officer away so you can climb stairs on top of a building. If you have found the correct items, you can light a fire causing the police officer to investigate and allowing you to reach that otherwise inaccessable area. This game doesn't hold your hand. You will have to explore and find everything on your own. This is not a bad thing at all as it makes each puzzle more satisfying when you complete them. I have come across no bugs at all and the game runs very smoothly. I am impressed with the attention to detail of items throughout the level. (The sand pit looks great). I hope this level of attention to detail continues in all future levels. Instead of having a timer counting down, you have a hunger meter which counts down. There are food bowls scattered around which will refill this meter. I thought this was much better than having a generic clock ticking down and it made me feel a lot less rushed having this system in place. This game has a lot of potential and I look forward to playing future levels as they are released. If you are interested in puzzle games then this is one that should satisfy.

Overview
"Erwin's Timewarp" is an interesting game about the funny dog Erwin with the hard destiny. As a result of an unfortunate mistake he had become a time traveler and now his dream and the main mission is return to home, to his real time and to his master, Dr. Zachory. The scientist Dr. Zachory is a creator of the time machine, which had sent Erwin into the past, he is doing its utmost to help him. The pieces, needed to construct up a copy of another time machine were sent by Doctor through wormholes into the different parts of the space-time continuum. It's only the one opportunity for Erwin to return back...
2. Gameplay
During the game you control a dog and his friends, which he finds in his travels into the time, each of them could help Erwin to solve riddles and puzzles which you can find. The game consists of worlds, each of them is happens in a new time and new places. All worlds includes some part or parts of the time machine, you must solve some riddles to reach them and go to another one world. This is the main conception of the game. It's a very interesting idea, in my opinion, you can find various quests, which can be completed only if you use your own ingenuity.
3. Verdict
I recommend to play this game... later, after a while. At this moment, the game is in early access and you can find a lot of bugs. During the testing from build 0.55 to 0.61 I found a lot of them, after some the continued of the game was impossible. [Probably, I'll write more about them later, or not.] For this moment, there are a few levels, which can be completed fast, low diversity of music and sounds, into many places you can find some flaws or defects, no cutscenes, rich dialogues or a full plot. Currently the game is updated frequently and each of the patches added something new into the game. I'm more than confident that in the future it'll be a good interesting game. Also, you can help the developer and buy the game before its final release.
4. Recommendations
If you like the games with the such theme, I can advise... ok so for the most part, its not my type of game but. for what its worth it looks cool. you need to add the water and for some reason in the first area the cop just stands there, he doesnt do anything. and in the second area because thats as far as i got the knights wont leave you alone no matter how far you run, i also did not have a clear objective as to what i was looking for or where i was suppossed to be doing other than that it looked good
