What the wonderful puzzle journey!

This is a terrific game: simple, beautiful (both appearance and sounds), and relaxing. The puzzles are not demanding - if they were, the whole experience would be much less. The player's attention would be taken up with worrying about that, rather than enjoying the experience as a whole. In short: if you want to show off to yourself about how clever you are, this may not satisfy you. If you want to enjoy something beautiful and creative on its own terms, you will probably love it as I did.
Looks interesting, probably a nice puzzler. However, uplayable for me on a Macbook Pro released in the same year, but after, the game came out on Mac. The Macbook has better specs than "recommended". Had to crank resolution and other graphic settings down very far. (For comparison, this Macbook has run Shadow of the Tomb Raider successfully, played that through twice.) But I would probably still mark this as unusually frustrating, because it's possible to wonder for hours through the portals without getting to the second puzzle element. Admittedly, the choppy graphics, even at the reduced specs, imbued the whole experience with a touch of motion sickness, which I don't usually get. I'll have to wait to play this on a much higher spec machine, to update this review.
This is a short EXPLORATION game. The closest similar example I know of is Manifold Garden. This is NOT a puzzle game. There are two or three sections in the game which you might say are puzzles (or prototypes of one), but, in general, what you are going to be doing is to pick a cube, and put it on a button on the ground or hit a switch to open doors so that lasers can go through and you can get an item. That's it The soundtrack has its moments, but it is hardly the best thing in the world. If you like calm exploration without inconvenient action elements annoying you, get this game on sale. It is not nearly as meaningful or interesting as Manifold Garden, but still is worth a shot if you like what it aims to deliver
I first played this game for a couple of hours and found I lost interest in it - it wasn't clear where I was supposed to go or what I had to do. The premise was appealing - solving puzzles in alien environments but there just seemed to be something missing for me so I put the game aside. Three months later, I picked it up again and was glad I did! Even though I couldn't remember where I'd been in the game or what I'd achieved 3 months earlier, for some reason, the game fell into place and I developed a rhythm (which is not to say the game is predictable or boring) and began to enjoy the complexity of the puzzles as they seemed to have a meaning and logic to them that clearly escaped me the first time I played it! That's all by the by - in the end, I found this a fun game to play - the puzzles are challenging without being too hard, the visuals are vibrant and I enjoyed the laid-back soundtrack that even strayed into jazz territory at some points. I think the uplifting soundtrack kept me going as much as anything else did in this game. It was a gentle ending and I was glad I stuck with Epitasis to see it through to the end!
Delight
Zero story. Ending is just a puzzle-solve-to-blank-screen. Glad I gave up and watched a walk though. I wanted an adventure, not a meh put-boxes-on-buttons while moving-way-too-slow game
Puzzles are challenging and graphics are beautiful!
