I'd love to recommend this game, but after not playing for a while, I reinstalled the game to see what was new with updates. My game data was there, still the same as it was before, when I tried to play, i was prompted to update my tavern in order to use the recent updates. I had no option to decline this, and updating my tavern completely wiped my tavern data and reset it back to day 1, 15 hours pissed down the drain that ill never get back. I would avoid this game until full release or at the very least to address the data wipe issue. What's the point of playing if your progress is going to be wiped? Tried getting help from the Devs, sent them my save files a couple weeks ago but i still haven't received a response to it. I'm going to assume nothing will be fixed and my time has been wasted.
I've found this to be a very fun game so far. Runs like butter on the steam deck in big picture mode with no adjustments, and I haven't run into anything buggy or glitchy yet. The only thing I've found to be lacking is some way to access the game menu (settings, exit, etc) without using a keyboard; since I'm on the deck and the rest of the game I've played so far has been doable entirely with only a mouse, a settings cog button would be a decent QOL improvement. The storytelling is quite enjoyable. Each "quest" tends to be 3-5 encounters, and an encounter is really just having each party member roll the dice once for something like a battle, not tripping over a bump in the road, or just seeing if they can get THAT ONE companion to shut up successfully. I actually love that so many of the encounters are about the small stuff, it gives your characters character! I did, however take a level 1 character along with some 4s and 5s on what turned out to be an epic quest, unbeknownst to me, which had around 10 encounters in it. They got KO'd due to not having enough sp to roll so many times, which rippled and made the quest end pretty poorly. Tavern management is fun, "serving combos" become important once your tavern has leveled up a few times. It's a novel mechanic to me and I feel like it pairs well with the quest-lite side of the game. Overall it's pretty fun and I'd recommend giving it a go if you want something unlike anything you're likely to have played before!
This is really a great game. You will find an occasional bug or two but it is feature rich and a complete game at this point. It has been in development for quite a while and 2020 hit the team hard reducing it to a single developer, but he is very open about his passion and his promises. If you look at it and think, "I might like this", you definately will!
Думаю разрабы умерли 2026 год. Все еще ранний доступ

the localization approach is bold: you translate it in your head.” It’s genuinely sad to see a game this thoughtfully designed end up in this state simply because it lacks language support. It runs smoothly and is genuinely enjoyable yet the limited localization feels like one of the main reasons it hasn’t reached the level it truly deserves. I’m working on a similar game myself, I’ll definitely make sure language support is as extensive as possible. And since English isn’t my native language, I really don’t want to spend my chill time trying to unwind by constantly translating everything in my head into my own language.
Хороша ідея, є деякі проблеми, але загалом за свою ціну норм (на час купівлі ~₴325 = ~7 eur).
