What a beautiful Journey! Very innovative, creative and catchy music rhythm plays! But the most powerful element to me was the touching story - i even cried like a little child at the end... A must play and experience! ♪

Ephemerid: A Musical Adventure is a charming rhythm game with a fun and casual musical experience. I enjoyed the soundtrack, the visuals, and the story. I finished the game in it's entirety (including the secret game to get all achievements) in about 6 hours. I really liked the main story and gameplay and didn't have a single problem with it. The secret game, however, is a completely different animal. It was the bane of my existence. I lost my mind multiple times to the point where I broke down into gross sobbing (possibly just because I was emotionally drained or whatever I don't know). The music that accompanies the secret game mode is just as great as the rest of the soundtrack, but the rhythm gameplay portion of it was broken and impossible to beat without AutoHotKey. What I don't understand is why the developer would not only keep a game mode that doesn't work, but also put in achievements for said game mode?? The developer hasn't gone back to fix this mode, even though they are completely aware it is impossible to beat as is. You have to rely on what is essentially cheating to be able to even have a fighting chance with that mode. As a completionist I find this very negligent and uncaring in terms of the product that is being produced. If there hadn't been achievements for it, I would likely give it a pass, but achievements mean it's something people are supposed to try to uncover and have a reasonable chance of beating it. Despite my huge beef with the secret game mode, I'm still going to recommend the game because the main portion of it is worth a play for those who like more relaxed rhythm games and simple but cute stories to follow. If I could give this a mixed review I totally would, because pretend however much you want - the secret mode is a part of the game, and should be functional.

Came to this game because I love Beacon Pines and its soundtrack, and I do not regret it. The soundtrack for Ephemerid is amazing and it is visually very appealing. It's a pretty easy game and I'm not sure you CAN lose, but it's entertaining nonetheless! I recommend playing it if you ever have an hour or two to kill. As someone with ADHD, I can say that this game is a good ADHD trap.
This game is absolutely beautiful. It may be short, but it makes the absolute most out of every second. The game is presented through a gorgeous storybook-like paper collage aesthetic and is accompanied by an equally gorgeous soundtrack. The story is very fairytale-esque. While it is quite simple, it is hard-hitting and had me in tears by the end. The rhythm-based point-and-click gameplay constantly shakes things up and never gets stale throughout the whole experience. The game is also dirt-cheap, the full price being only 3 USD. To anyone reading this, I beg of you to pick this game up. It is the textbook definition of a hidden gem.
HOW DARE YOU CHOP ONIONS IN MY ROOM!!! ...it was beautiful. And I loved every moment of it. Soundtrack: Amazing Visuals: Highly stylized, but I liked them Story: I'm not crying! You're crying!
Ratings: Dito: 3.3/5 Chat: 3.53/5 Gesamt: 3.42/5
I guess you could see it as an interactive instrumental album. It's sweet and short (around ~1) although according to HLTB it takes ~6 hours on completionist. I didn't stick to find out why. The simple story, cute graphics and mostly pleasant soundtrack make up for a nice experience, BUT this certainly looks like it was intended for touch screens and not a PC mouse. Towards the end I did start getting a little annoyed with all the clicking and when some of the concepts repeated themselves, that didn't add much. Still a cute experience if it somehow gets to tour library.
