Ephemerid: A Musical Adventure

Much more rock opera than I was expecting, and was a blast to play through. Great visual design, soundtrack, and story.

This game is absolutely beautiful. It may be short, but it makes the absolute most out of every second. The game is presented through a gorgeous storybook-like paper collage aesthetic and is accompanied by an equally gorgeous soundtrack. The story is very fairytale-esque. While it is quite simple, it is hard-hitting and had me in tears by the end. The rhythm-based point-and-click gameplay constantly shakes things up and never gets stale throughout the whole experience. The game is also dirt-cheap, the full price being only 3 USD. To anyone reading this, I beg of you to pick this game up. It is the textbook definition of a hidden gem.

Allerdings muss ich sagen, verstehe ich nicht wirklich was hier für eine Geschichte erzählt wird. Im großen und ganzen ja, aber vieles davon wirkt einfach irgendwie sehr zusammenhangslos auch wenn es im Hintergrund eine Geschichte über das "große Ganze" gibt. Viele passagen wiederholen sich im Spielstil und auch einige Figuren passen nicht so ganz ins gesamtkonzept. Kurzgesagt, es ist ein Fiebertraum, aber auf eine Art und Weise die in erster Linie Verwirrung stiftet. Die Musik ist wirklich gut, ich mag den Paper, Stop Motion Effekt und die Minispiele sind okay. Die meiste Zeit saßen wir einfach nur wie Zuschauer hier und haben uns gewundert was zur hölle gerade passiert. great music, short and simple. worth the money i guess idk

Francamente non capisco il motivo di tante recensioni positive... Il gioco è molto semplice, possiamo dire che non c'è gameplay..e il poco che c'è è ripetitivo e spesso noioso. Carina la musica, de gustibus i disegni. Magari per dei bambini è carino e lo vedo meglio su un tablet che su un PC..comunque per me non passa la sufficienza.

es un juego diferente, es muy lindo en muchos aspectos y su arte principalmente en lo musical es esplendido, pero es un juego que se puede hacer en pocos clicks y muy lineal, en ese sentido pienso que algo así funcionaria mejor en otro formato como cortometraje, pero esta interesante.

I...don't normally leave reviews, but in all seriousness? for 2 bucks? You can't go wrong with this game. It's very simple to play, and there's no failure state, but the journey and story it tells, which can be played through in a liiiiitle over an hour, is absolutely wonderful and touching. The soundtrack is also gorgeous and a VERY good rock opera. I will also fully admit, the ending makes me cry almost every time I play through it

Very relaxing music rythm game, it's not punishing if you can't find the right beat so it's fine! Recommendable, but very short.
