Energy Balance is a number puzzle. You have to swap power units in such a way that their sums form correct chains both vertically and horizontally. The game is easy to learn, but very hard to master. So, are you ready to peep under the hood of an alien spaceship?

My friend I play with said that if I post a review about the game and it gets 200 likes and 100 rewards, he'll buy me a bag of chips and a RTX 4090. So I'll leave this here.

Thought it was about power. Turns out it’s about surviving when coffee’s gone and outlets throw tantrums. I now speak fluent outlet.
I'm not a math major. The trigonometry and differential calculus I studied in college is all wiped clean from my head. However, I do have a head for math. I can solve most simple equations in my head. I can't really prove it, but I just tested myself out by doing 688+345 and 791*45 (first one was pretty quick, second one took a minute). That doesn't really help when you need to calculate a dozen lines factored into even more combinations. Things already got dicey after six puzzles, and I was trying to find a that would help me not have to try every combination of positive and negative numbers that adds up to 6, and once you’ve got an imbalance in one or two lines, you can’t tell if you have something wrong somewhere else unless you exhaust your options swapping out values. It’s so frustrating when you’ve almost got it, but no matter how you tweak it, you can’t grab the value you need. You just can't use simple logic, you need some kind of system if you don't want to spend an hour plugging in different numbers on the same puzzle. I got a helpful pointer from a guide to add the smaller lines first and focus on those to model each puzzle, but it wasn’t helping that much. Then I realized something: there’s already a natural imbalance in the sums of the lines and their components, because every component that’s on an intersection between lines is counted twice. This means the sum of those spaces must be the difference between the sum of the lines and the sum of all components, or L – C = S! Excited by this discovery, I immediately sought to capitalize on it. It didn’t help. I didn’t get anything plugging random values equal to S, and it just meant more tedious calculations to find L, C, and S, then double checking them on the board. This game needed more indicators or tools for finding solutions and fewer intermissions with reject Stellaris species, though I will be fair and point out that the cutscenes are skippable: spacebar to reveal the skip button + click it on the top right. I am genuinely curious if anyone has a good system for solving these, because none of the guides or reviews I’ve read actually describe one. The testimonials mention rerolling the boards, notetaking, and brute-force guesswork. I’ve tried all of that, it hasn’t usually helped, and it doesn’t feel that rewarding when it does. The next step after that, according to the forums and reviews, is to program an autosolver or download one from Github. These don’t sound like solutions to a game with well-balanced difficulty.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
《Energy Balance》
When you suck at number puzzles and you restart a lot, having unskippable cut scenes becomes tiring real quick. After a while I just wished the space would take me to my doom. I give up. I welcome death with open arms.
